Default PPSh vs. German MP 40: battle of iconic submachine guns

Soviet PPSh and Nazi MP 40 are probably two most iconic World War II submachineguns. I managed to get my hands on them to do some fun testing - full auto controllability, accuracy, obstacle penetration.

I didn't watch the vid but both guns had strong points. After PPS no one cared for MP40.

biased review sorry
controllability, full auto standing, they both get about the same group

accuracy, for some reason he has to lay down the ppsh all in 4 in the black one flyer and the MP40 does not even hit black and looks to have a 12 group
and he blames it one the stock that wobbles? biased results

obstacle penetration, hmmm 7.62X25 vs 9X19 duh

I own PPSH-41, PPD-40, PPs-43, C&R fully transferable weapons.
In addition, MP-38, MP-40, MP-41, and MP-3008, all C&R.
Shoot them all.
By far my favorite is the MP-40.
Simply taking apart the "wobbly" stock, swell the mating steel parts with a cold chisel will eliminate the wobble, its is by far the most controllable of them all.
Just one person's view.
Why did the American troops pick-up MP-40's?

Not very familiar with American troops picking up MP40's in wide use? Maybe on Hogans Heroes but im not even sure of ever seeing pictures or film of US GI's having them, may be wrong but just doesnt seem common place

because they were on the Russian front and supply was for shit?
and not in the rest of the European theater where they were fighting Americans not Russians?

MP40 was favored by Soviet Army raiders, scouts because rate was much more controllable than PPSh, you can take well aimed shots and it was light. Once PPS came out, it easily displaced MP40 as the tool of choice and was far more reliable in dirty/cold conditions.

When you need to unload a large mag full of hate and furious anger, nothing comes close to PPSh for sweeping rooms.

One came make up all kind of reviews, what matters are records from the guys who actually used them in a life/death situation, rather than some range.

You cant fill a bomber with MP40's and rain lead upon your enemy on a ridiculous scale like the PPSH.......

The results are what they were. I was surprised to see the accuracy of this MP40, but we did not have time for a reshoot. Maybe another time.

I really love both guns, but in any competition, there is always a winner and a loser.
