Just picked mine up from the FFL today. $325 shipped from Brownells. It is sweet little package! Taking it out this weekend for some fun. Grip is definitely a little slick, so I’ll probably wrap it in some hockey tape for now. When I get a chance I’ll do a little stippling job. I figure if I don’t like it, a new grip is only $25.

"Skull crusher"? It doesn't add enough weight to make the Shockwave a better club.

It's not meant to be used "as a club".

It's meant to be driven ( with all the weight of the gun + your muscle strength ) into your enemy's skull.

"Skull crusher" pommels are common on fighting knives, and since this gun isn't really long enough to make a bayonet work properly . . .

Took my shockwave out for the first time this weekend and it is a fun little bastard! Ran into one problem though. I noticed my trigger housing pin nearly walked all the way out one time when I was shooting it. I pushed it back in and carried on, but when I got home it was nowhere to be found. It must have worked itís way out again and now itís lying in my buddyís field. This is my first mossberg so a little googling has me thinking it may be an issue with the retainer, if there was one properly installed in the first place. Iíll try to contact mossberg to see if they offer any help or maybe even a replacement pin. Does anyone have experience with the aftermarket screw-type pins? I donít want to lose another, so Iím thinking about giving them a shot.

Yep, same problem. Got one of these. Only had it out once since I installed it but went in without a hitch and snugged up tight with the included screw. 25 shots or so and still tight.

Kinda but I'll keep mine as it's functional. Biggest for me is a saddle (which doesn't require the rail) and a rail for a light even though one doesn't need a rail.

From another thread:

I wasnít going to bring up my tacticool mall ninja add on for the Shockwave originally so I didnít review the before and after weight but Iíll mention the rail system and side saddle here.

The rail is very light. The saddle is just ok. Might want to use another side saddle such as the very well built Mesa tactical brand.

If this saddle becomes stretched and starts dropping shells on a run and gun then Iíll replace with a Mesa.right now itís gtg for a while at least.

Other than that itís a good investment if you donít mind the extra bulk and want to mount a flashlight or flip sights on a rail. It of course obscures the bead sight.

I still need to replace the MIM ejector (assuming Mossburg is like Remington in this regard) and the plastic follower. Havenít even bothered to look into it yet. Itís number 59 on my list.

I jumped on the rail because BlackAces Tactical said they would make a 200 unit run and then evaluate and go from there. I didnít want to miss out.

Also they threw in the magazine spike on top.

Cheers.

Good news! They replied to my email and will be sending a shipping label for me to ship it back to them and they will replace the whole trigger housing assembly. Maybe I can talk them into replacing it with the A1 version.

Not tryin' to dis Clint Smith or anyone but, a 12ga. 18" to 20" BBL.w/ full buttstk or 2" shorter HOGUE buttstk, with a blinding brite weapon lite/Lazer, sidesaddle 6rd shell carrier or MESA TACTICAL 6to 8 rd. sidesaddle is what you want INSIDE your house..... You can go with a Mossberg 590 A1 , 18"bbl & get aftermarket mag extender, spring, follower etc ...Gunwill hold 8 shots & fit flush with an 18.5" BBL !!.

That SHOCKWAVE looks great for in vehicle/ traveling[in motel/hotel] use..throw it in a duffel or TENNIS RACKET case [it fits]
and in vehicle it'll be handy to prevent things like that attack on the 2 white folks that the savages beat half to death for no reason
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...e-brooklyn-co/
or the pack of savages who beat the white Trump voter

With proper training and a pocketful of shells, your pumper has a capacity that closely matches the aforementioned pocket.

Theres already been some 3rd party mossburg 500/590 detachable magazine products.
https://www.brownells.com/shotgun-pa...prod57376.aspx

Or practice your quadloading. https://youtu.be/USdFTFG0iCI?t=301 This dude looks like he loads 8 shells faster than most dudes can drop a box magazine and load a new one.

they are cheap enough...just buy a Remington Tac-14 DM if you want mags, or wait for mossberg to release their mag fed version.

^^^^takes a stamp???^^^ believe it needs to stay the way it was with bird's head grip and no brace to be legal without getting a stamp. Yes?

Not designed or redesigned to be fired from the shoulder? Check. Not a shotgun, so it can’t be a short barreled shotgun. Over 26 inches in length? Check. Not an AOW. No stamp.

Also looks like the brace adapter also has the pistol grip attached to it and not to the weapon.

People can do what they like, but to me, it looks like poking the bear, that same bear that goes back and forth on what is "legal" and what isn't.

My shockwave. I'm waiting on the 590A1 heatshield right now. And yes it is needed for this I think to assist in loading. The barrel does get hot.

Very nice looking, did you make the pistol grip yourself? I've been wanting to do this to my shockwave ever since I got it but couldn't find anyone who made the wood shockwave grip.

Yes, I picked it up on ebay for 20 bucks, it is one of the numrich stocks.
Its NOS but it was a factory defect I think,

It is about an inch longer then the Raptor grip.
