Default Form 1 Approval

E-filed my first Form 1 with a trust on February 2. Everyone had been saying less than 30 days. Nothing yet as of March 13. Has anyone else submitted one around this time and gotten approval yet? Maybe ATF is too busy with the M855 boondoggle.

How did you file? Did you efile as a trust or did you paper file as an individual?

I would expect approval any day now, unless of course NFA branch found something wrong with your application.

I hope so. I used plouffedaddy's 'tutorial' and the ar15.com detailed instructions for guidance. Does the fact that it's my first make any difference?

Seems most Form 1 E-Files are going 35 to 45 days now. Tax time means peeps have money for stamps. Plus 41P possibly coming soon means more push for stamps now more than ever.

Before January it was around 30 days. When the sig brace thing went full retard the amount of F1s increased dramatically. It is now averaging 45-50 days. 41p is also on the table so until a decision is made on that crock of BS the times will most likely increase.
If you have an established trust and have multiple items on it, after you pay this unconstitution tax you should be "approved" immediately.

Did his video cover how to fill out the form if it's a new trust or did you find help with that somewhere else? I'm about to do my first one.

I went through that video and the instructions here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_17/41...ng_EFORMS.html

Makes sense with tax time and the 41P. I thought about doing a couple right away to beat the possible 41P May/June determination, but wanted to make sure everything was done correctly with one first.

Man, 47 days and counting... If a Form 1 application were to NOT be approved (for whatever reason), would that happen sooner than an approval?

Submitted mine 2-9, took my money 2-10 and I'm still waiting. Only thing that might get mine denied is I left the "what is this being used for" bullshit box blank. Reading about Form1s now I'm seeing that it might be a no-go.

"Any Lawful Purpose"

^ That right there is the catch all reason.

Your form will be kicked and your money refunded.

There is a process to get approval fast after your form comes back ( but they will tell you you have to start over and wait, which is not true)

Thanks for the info. If I can't figure out the quick way to get it approved I'll PM you.

Congrats! Looks nice. I submitted two forms on 3/26. One was for a Draco and one for an AR15. I'll post back if / when I get approval. As busy as I get lately, 59 days ought to pass by pretty quickly.

Between the two, one should be 99% prepared. Your reason for manufacturing, 'For all lawful purposes' seems pretty important. Seems the caliber is as well, as others have pointed out.

I'm going to do it myself. I'm a machinist/toolmaker and I have a friend with a small shop. Can't take it to my work

Here is a thread with a sketch that shows the angular location of locking lugs. It's different for the Yugo to achieve the correct stock angle. 2.5 degree drop and I can get the lug location by measuring the stock itself.

I have a question for those who have done the e-file before. Just did 2 form 1 e-files and the first one I was able to pay, e-sign but still shows that my application has been submitted for processing in the confirmation screen. It didn't take me back to the home screen with the pop-up saying successfully submitted.
When I submitted my second form 1 everything went thru fine and received the submitted pop-up. My question is, is my first e-file in limbo or are they that slow in processing it? Thanks in advance.

I filed 2-22 and I am still waiting. It was my first time and a newly created trust through silencershop. I think I did it correctly but I am starting to wonder. I am also awaiting a couple of suppressors on the same trust. We shall see.

Give the ATF a call. I did because I had the same concern. Surprisingly, you'll get an actual person on the phone and they are helpful. The guy I spoke to confirmed everything was received.

Thats what I thought, I sure appreciate that! Will give them a call Monday. The first e-file had me scratching my head to get thru it, seemed lile their system was acting up at the end, the se ond one was a breeze.

I e-files my trust on April 26, between these two tutorials you couldn't possibly do it wrong. Now I just hope I'm not to late to get it in before they decide to stop this option.

I believe if you file before the 41P change, you are fine. When, and if, that change even occurs.
