Turns out itís the front sight block that is, I plan on keeping it as stock as possible on the off chance it becomes unobtanium in the future, how well did I do overall?

That is an incredible find, OP! Why can’t my LGS’s have any hidden gems like this? Instead, all I see are WASR’s priced for like $1000...

That’s a good score, I’ve seen SGL’s go for as high as $1900 here In Kommiefornia. 74’s are the cats meow, have fun.

Not sure haha, I was lucky this was an "AR15 or bust" kind of place so they didn't have a clue what it was, probably assumed it was a conversion

Which gun store? I also live in Indiana and trying to find anything AK other than a Century is pretty hard.

Actual dollar amount doesn't matter near as much as if something makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
If you are happy with the deal, then any purchase was a good one.

Likewise, even if something is a great buy, if you just aren't feeling it, then really what's the point?

But if it helps, the last time I had truely 'NIB' SGL31s here (31-68) that came direct from K-Var/MSR, was in 2015.
Even then, nearly 4 years ago now, they were more than $900 dealer and selling for $1,400+ online.

Great score. Once in a while Iíll find a nice deal on local Armslist sales but, the gun stores around here rarely even have the WASRs, itís usually $1000 RAS47s and VSKAs.

Congratulations. You got one that wasn't run up to the level of goober bait pricing.

You just proved there are still reasonably priced rifles out there ,and brought the hyped "Market value" down with your statistic purchase.
