Default Federal American Eagle Subsonic 9mm

Anyone use the AE 147 gr subsonic 9mm? Comparison to Speer Lawman? The AE is a couple bucks cheaper than the Lawman per case.

I have both, shot both, prefer the Lawman. Seems a little cleaner and more consistent in my patterns. Mostly steel I shoot.

The AE is good, I just never found it for sale comparable to the Lawman ammo.

If its cheaper now, I would buy it.

I agree w Renov8. I use both and maybe have a slight preference for the American Eagle especially at the same price.

It is possible that I am being influenced by the higher price of the Am Eagle and assuming it must be higher quality. Messed up, often wrong, but that assumption drives a lot of seconding and has been confirmed by economists exploring various "Behavioral Economics" questions. Lol nice gig if you can get it

I’ve shot both, and to be honest, I couldn’t really tell the difference. But I have shot way more of the Lawman and never had one issue.

I will say the AE load looks cleaner than the Lawman, but both are good subsonic loads. They will remain subsonic even up to 8" barrels.

I had feeding issues with the AE in my 9mm AR. The Lawman cycled perfectly. I really like the AE 124g subsonic, but cannot justify the price
