Default Price Check - Full (Professional) Saiga Conversion?

Hey guys, school me on this. Nearly full conversion (trigger group holes are plugged instead of welded) - front end done by a pro shop around here that is well regarded. Front end parts are Russian. Bullet guide is installed. Internals look pristine, and it has not been fired much at all. What's a fair price for this?

I've found a couple scrubbed MP threads, and a couple price check threads on conversions but with different features, so I've tried to do my homework but am not totally sure on this one in particular. Thanks for your input and/or links to help me out.

I sold one earlier this year converted as the one you pictured with Russian wood for $950.

make sure the correct bullet guide was installed and the installation done properly. if it will cycle properly i think $900-$1000 would be fair. if you can get it for less, now...

Looks clean I'd pay 900.00 maybe 1000.00 at this point I'd pay 700.00 for a unconverted 7.62 saiga. In actually working on it a friend has one and isn't a AK guy really. Hard to tell what the future holds as far as pricing help it's hard to tell what the future holds for the bulgarians so rather than behind the ball this time I dropped cash and bought to arsenal rifles back to back. Hell look at the WASR10 and the 10/63 now I'd never thought I'd see them above 500.00

Depends on who in NC did it. There are some of the shops in the area that were doing it that I would gladly spend $1000 but others that I wouldn't look twice.

Rifle in this state are selling for $1400. and up on Gun Broker. Russian made rifles like the Chinese ones will never be imported again so bear that in mind.

Since it was done with Russian parts and not Bulgy ones, I'd say that rifle is worth every bit of $1200. That looks like a non-velcro RWC Saiga, so that's worth about $800-900 these days. Add $300 for the Russian handguard retainer, gas block, FSB, and brake, $70 for the plum furniture and that is easily a $1200 rifle without even considering the cost to do the conversion.

Is the trigger guard riveted? How was the bullet guide installed?

If trigger guide is riveted on and bullet guide is welded when installed I would go over $1000.

Based on the rivets plugging the old trigger group holes and the front of the trigger guard, I agree with the earlier poster that it was one of the RWC (or Century) conversions. That means riveted trigger guard and welded bullet guide.

The fixed stocks don't sell anywhere near the folders, by a massive margin.

Here's the text from the ad.... CMP Armory did the conversion.

It’s a fully converted Russian, Izhmash built, Saiga 7.62x39 AK with plum furniture. It was professionally converted by CMP Armory in Dallas NC using authentic Russian gas block, sight leaf, front sight, and hand guard retainer. Then it was finished in GunKote.

It will come with parts to make it a little more modern too, like in the third pic. Those parts are an ALG trigger group, 2 Magpul MOE grips in plum and black, Kreb’s Custom safety selector, and Manticore Arms NightBrake compensator.

I’ll also include 295rds of bulk steel cased Wolf/Tula ammo, front sight tool, 7 Croatian 30rd BHO mags (5 sealed in package), 1 30rd com-block mag, 2 Tapco 30rd mags, 2 Magpul 20rd mags, and 1 Magpul 30rd

$1k and under is a good deal. If converted with Russian front end parts those aren't cheap neither is the cost to have someone good to do it if you can't. Throw on some Ruskie furniture and your at a $1200 priced gun pretty quickly. The advantage goes to the guys who can do the conversion work themselves.

Here is my Saiga IZ-132. Got it as a RWC rear converted. It does not have the velcro patch. Also, the gas block was pinned not dimpled. Used 100% Russian parts. Im still debating at some point to weld up the holes.

Just a note, while not a huge deal but definitely a benefit is that it has the Izzy stamp on the front trunion. Many Saigas don't including mine.

Haha! No interest, no money. I was just curious if someone here got it. It was a good deal as listed on the forum I provided a link to in a earlier post here.

PS by no interest, I mean I prefer Bulgarian and other AKM designs.
