Default Valmet M76 "Project Gun" on Gunbroker

I have no connection to the seller. M76 project gun on GB, was converted by a prop house to fire blanks, he also has two others:

$100-$200 shipping seems reasonable. Pretty cool how they only collect sale tax from 5 States.

Isn't the receiver and mag on that worth a pretty penny?

I've actually been keeping an eye on these and the thompsons they have listed...wouldn't be a bad fixer-upper for the price if it doesn't get bid up

Yes, parts alone are worth $750.00 - $1000. depending on condition.
The M76 (223) in VG condition is worth 2K.

blanks are HIGHLY corrosive, barrel is toast and likely most of the internals too.

Thompsons are a good deal.

Everyone of those useable valmet components is available in much better condition if you look and are patient. The only thing of real value is the receiver and the welded rear sight assembly, but that thing is pretty fucked up. I don't really see the point in getting one of these, because by the time you restore it, you could have a got an unfucked up valmet 5.56 for about the same price.

-Refinish stock and pistol grip or buy new ones
-new barrel
-new gas block
-new front sight
-top cover
-cut and weld rear sight onto top cover if it's even salvageable
-probably needs to FCG
-refinish or buy new handguard
-cerakote/anodize

If the rear sight is not salvageable, a new top cover with sigh assembly run ~$500 and pop up on gunbroker 2-3 times a year. I didn't see any for about a year once too.

I shot the seller an email asking for some info and pics regarding corrosion, bore, etc; I also asked how he figured it’s cost $100-200 to ship, as It usually runs me $30-40 on the high end to ship a rifle insured, regardless of carrier. We’ll see if he gets back to me...

Ha, I would like to show these little bastards some love for $400-450! The worst is the one without the mag tower, grip, and trigger guard.

Btw, these used to be 5.56 folders (you can tell from the riveted stock catch near the trunnion).
