Default $9.99 Bulgarian KRINK HG sale at K-VAR

Wow, great deal on these Bulgy Krink HG's. I like these better than the ones that comes with the 104UR and 107UR's.

These regular Arsenal U.S. made HG set are on sale for $9.99 too.

The inexpensive one is US made while the other is made in Bulgaria?

Maybe?

The difference is simply the heat shield. Otherwise they are one and the same. If you were to buy the milled krink handguards those have the grooves pre cut to accept the heat shield.

Do you sell the heat shield separately?

If the sale price is $10, and the regular price is $40, how does a heat shield come out to being worth $30?

EDIT
Bad joke timing lmao

Dumb question, but can one simply swap out the heat shields from a set of existing U.S. hand guards, and put them into these Bulgarian hand guards? Thanks!

Nope, the heat shield on the Bulgarian made HG is different than the U.S. made one. See photos below.

I also just received the $9.99 Bulgy Krink HG’s. You will need to make the slits in the HG for the heat sheild to slide in.

The original Bulgarian heat sheild looks very simple and easy to make. It’s just a piece of sheet metal folded to fit the HG.

I have some sheet metal. I’m just going to make one myself by replicating the original.

U.S. Made PLUM HG (TOP) and original Bulgarian made Krink HG (BOTTOM)

Notice the difference in length of the heat sheild and where the heat sheild slides in the HG slits. U.S. Made (LEFT) Bulgarian (RIGHT)

$9.99 Bulgarian Krink HG on the far RIGHT. You will have to make the slits for the heat sheild to fit.

Mahalo, IF2... very disappointed by K-Var response.

Hope that a reasonable solution can be identified.

No problem Bruddah!

I just made a heat sheild out of scrap sheet metal for the Bulgarian HG. Not perfect but it works!

Making the slits for the heat sheild to slide in place.

Cut a square of sheet metal. Original heat sheild (below).

Shape the sheet metal to make it identical to the original heat sheild (right).

Fits perfect!
