Default Galil Receivers Today

Decided to add some class to my safe & picked up my first Galil parts kit. From what Iíve reaearched, unless youíre rewelding, receivers are only available from TortTort, CNC Warrior and Lewis & Black. Are there any manufactures Iím missing?

Bit of thread drift but if I wanted the Tortort to have dual lightning cuts is Jeff Miller the only option there?

True, I got a couple 5.45 AK74 type on MP for sale but no bites? Might have to build them.

I was thinking about listing some other AWO receivers too.

The Lewis & Black receivers, are Tortort receivers.

>In short, yes, it'd take a good search to find another guy who actually offers that service, as the other ones I've seen were all done for their own builds, not "for sale" stuff, and honestly, Jeff's method of doing those "Lighten-ing" cuts, comes out noticeably better than the other method I've seen used by others.

Those were kinda oddball items, I'm surprised nobody's grabbed them yet either. What were the barrel options for them though?

I've used AWO receivers for two Yugo builds. ORF's in the past as well. They needed attention in a few spots but overall went together fine. Probably were the best value on the market for milled receivers

I sent him an email and he replied very quickly, 2xLC=$80 plus shipping.

Cliff Sterns out in OK says he will do them also.

I have only built on two receivers. One being an IMI and the other currently a Tortort.
The Tortort is dead nuts on dimensions wise and hardness.

My factory Galil parts fit and time out perfectly on the Tortort.

Even the surplus 1:12 barrels floating around ( have one to make a print turning a Shilen 1:8 barrel blank to ARM configuration) fits and headspace is damn near spot on and just a touch short which is idea for fitting and not long.

Section from ejector bridge / perfect hardness~

Raped original~

Bullet guide fits perfect~
