Well John I guess I will just have to suffer, as you well know I have been suffering for a long time with all of these old outdated Guns. Maybe someday I will smarten up and trade them all in for 250 new AR10's

For those who don’t cruise the gunsmithing section. Here is my G3 clone build.

It’s almost finished.

Up next is a HK33 build.

I like this arm brace, looks just like a para stock. Nice to see ZQI is getting it's act together.

I got a MP5 build I’m about to start, and I’m also collecting pieces for a HK53 build. I just bought the bolt/carrier and the cocking handle support.

I do like my MKE Z 43P, and I could see getting one of those collapsable braces too and switch it between my Z43, Z5RS and C93P

I was going back and forth on doing a 33K build or a 53 build. I decided on the 53. I just finished my 33 build and the K isnít much difference in Barrel length.

Did that locking piece help your 53 pistol?

I had a busy week, I was going to work on it tomorrow. Do you still want some pictures of my 53 clone?

Does anyone know the history of the Navy/Polymer trigger housing? such as when it came to be?

I'm thinking of picking up a PTR and dressing it up as a later production G3, did the Polymer housing replace the metal housing?

The poly lower replaced the metal, when Iím not sure. I donít know if the Bundeswehr ever adopted the poly lower, it might just have been the Deutsche Marine.

I agree. I literally get 1 MOA with Tula in my PTR-91. No bullshit. I think even the 7.62x39 PTR was pretty accurate

Cool video Hansell, Iím always amazed by the action on the roller lock rifles. I think the bolt system is one of the most advanced and modern designs to come about. Gas systems and rotating bolts are nothing new and pretty outdated IMO. Itís a shame more rifles didnít incorporate this design.

Which is considered the best model of the PTR to get? Iím looking at the GIR and the A3S. I like the black powder coat finish better than the parkerized finish, but I like the steel lower better than the polymer.

Is there any good reason to choose one over the other?
