Alright; here's my new TIGR mostly complete (still waiting for the adjustable gas regulator I bought to get here so I can install it).

Edited to add photos with the new nightscope and adjustable gas regulator. Now all I need is to find an SVD length barrel...

Sorry my photography sucks (cell phone pics). Here are some updated pics of mine after I Duracoated the rifle and krylon'ed the stock. Although I wouldn't categorize it as a true "precision" rifle and it will not be replacing my AR10 anytime soon, the thing did hit 10" gongs consistently all the way out to 500 yards using Russian 7N1 ammo (bottom picture taken Monday before the paint job).

sick PSL dude! nice .308 too. I go back and fourth on the idea of the synth furniture. I'm certain about the scope tho just a matter of saving up some scratch! But again, sweet looking pair of irons!!

Ohio, great looking rifle.

I thought I was going to be first to post a pic of a PSL with a GGG bi-pod...damn...

I am getting ready to make the mod to the rifle...how do you like the way the rifle feels with the bi-pod? Does it balance OK?

I did another mod to the gun after shooting with it prone all day. I put two large notches in the GG&G bipod so that it will also lock out front at a 45 degree angle in addition to the standard 90 degrees. This allows it to lie lower to the ground making prone shooting a heck of a lot easier. I also built up the cheek piece a bit more to make it more comparable to my other rifles and replaced the PSOP covers with Butler creek flip ups. It's a fun gun and gets comments at the range, but I just don't see how it can compete in the accuracy department to AR's or bolt guns due to the flex in the barrel. I can crank out about 66% hits at 1000 on a 10in steel target with my AR10, but the PSL starts shooting all over the place past 500. The 3-9 variable I have on the PSL uses this funky range finding reticle which requires a zero at 900 before you can use the BDC, which to me is just ridiculous (I zero the top chevron at 100). But inside of 500, it does pretty well.

Yes, I refinished the wood. It actually looks stunning in real life and the pics do it no service. My PSL gets a lot of compliments and attraction at the range which is very cool. PSLs are very attractive looking rifles.

Nice work Man!!! The darker tone does look nice on these rifles. It blows me away how much a little sanding totally changes the look of the wood. I think the trickiest part of My refinish was matching the tones between the three pieces. Again, great work!

Thanks Mike! Yeah that is the hardest part...Took a two runs to get it the way I want...IN the end tho it was worth it as people mistake it for a drag...I say no just a PSL. The pic does no justice to it as I left my DSLR in CA and have a point and click here...CA I can't have all but one of these guns if that. I will try and get a better pic of the PSL for sure. Thanks again.

FPK Paratrooper in polymer set...evil black DMR now that it doesn't have mismatched colored wood.

Hey thanks!! It's Varathane "golden mahogany" with several heavy coats of Minwax satin polyurethane spray. I seriously didn't feel like I had to work very hard for the great result. Just got lucky I suppose.
