Won $600 over the last few days and bought a new Gen4 G19. $525 locally. It actually fit great in my hand (better than Gen5) and seems like it would make a great CCW piece. Picked up another factory mag and 2 Magpul mags for a grand total of $615. Never thought Iíd buy a Glock, but I technically got it for free lol

First Glock? Make room in your safe. They tend to multiple rather quickly. Keep an eye out for a gen 2 G19. Those are my personal favorites.

I’ve always kind of wanted one, because they are reliable and proven. Gotta love slot machines!!!! They always help add to my gun collection (even stuff I don’t “need”)

Great grab Steve. This is the one I trust my life to everyday. she ain't pretty, but it a tool that won't fail and is extremely well balanced in what it provides vs weight dimensions etc. Hard to go wrong IMO.

G19 is like a pocket knife. I love shooting mine with the can or without. Boringly fun... If that's a thing.

I can't say that I am a Glock fanboy, but I can certainly appreciate the ruggedness and reliability of them. I have had a couple of G17's in the past and last summer I picked up a brand new Gen3 G19 for $415 ($450 OTD). It was cheap because no one wanted the Gen3 's anymore and guy sold it to me basically at cost.

At first I was having trouble finding a holster that was comfortable and concealed the gun adequately, but I bought an Alien Gear IWB holster and now I can comfortably carry it all day. I really like it and it has become my main carry gun this winter.

Glocks and AK’s, kinda go hand in hand.

Simple and reliable.

I forced myself to like Glocks and I'm glad I did. Got the "Glock knuckle" as a result. Working on them is so simple and their track record for being reliable is hard to beat.

If it's not a CZ in my holster it's a Glock.

I am impressed. When I opened up the case I had a WTF moment. I had no idea that it came with different backstraps (4 of them). I thought Glocks were a one size fits all gun and you are stuck with what you get. Really glad I bought it!!

I sold my Glock 30 and picked up the 19x. It has become my new carry.

It's too big for that role IMHO. I had one for about a week. It's way too big to be 6+1. Kahr pretty much nailed the size it should be for that capacity

I know that feeling. I have a hard enough time stocking 9mm as it is.

I've owned a total of 12 Glock pistols over the years (17, 19x3, 23, 31, 32, 33x2, 36, 42, 43), and I have a lot of respect for them in that they are dependable (except my old 36 which was a total lemon), and easy to work on with parts available everywhere for cheap.

Still, there are a lot of things I don't like about them, which always causes me to sell/trade them off. I'd consider them a decent baseline for a defensive pistol, and many others as improvements upon that base. That's where I see Glock these days.

Glock #5 just joined the family yesterday, it's a G17, gen 2.5ish. It appears to have been sent back to the Mothership for frame problems and what was a gen 2 got a gen 3 frame replacement. The serial numbers match and the s/n plate on the frame is pressed in a little weird.

It's clean as hell and came with 2 gen 4 17-round mags. I traded my Ruger SR45 straightup for this. Good deal for me, I had some wingnut at a LGS offer me $100 for the SR45 on a tradein for a S&W model 19. F that!
