If it is the mags, thats really bad luck you got 7 bad mags in one batch. If they dont work in a friends lower, call up who you got them from and see if you can get replacements

They were bought last year and the company won't accept returns after 45 days. In any case I'm hoping it's just the lower so I can swap that out at some point and get to use them.

I did just unload them all because what good can they do me right now? All of them are stamped 3 13 which I suppose is March, 2013? They all also have DSG floorplates. I did notice while unloading them that for many of the mags the Gen III Magpul followers weren't doing their job. Many rounds were tilting downwards even without me holding them.

Maybe I got a bad batch? Again though, we'll see once I try them in another lower.

Well, 3-13 is a pretty bad number. Considering there were 7 of these.....one might think that would negate the poor number with a lucky number. Thing is.........they may have been manufactured on a Friday, and we all know better than to buy anything made on Fridays right?
Damned the bad luck on this ordeal.
Glad you're up and running though.
Thing is......................you're still dealing with aftermarket mags here. A real function test should involve some mil-spec aluminum 20 or 30 round Colt or contract mags.
Just sayin'
If you can't find one of those..................just let me know.

See? 10 15 are good numbers or at least neutral. At least you can divide those and get whole numbers compared to 3 and 13 which amount to fractions, remainders, or left overs. Might splain some things. Or maybe not

3 is a great number, but 13 is just unlucky.

Both parts of your name are three letters each.

I told you how to fix the mags, get better followers preferably usgi green ones, then put Wolff 5% extra power ones in the d&h mags that should cure it. Or hell just use pmags!

I'll probably do that once I test them as they are with my friend's Anderson lower. The springs make sense to me but wouldn't the USGI followers be a downgrade from the magpul followers?

If they work though I'm sure not complaining, just curious.

But I'm looking at six total.

Let me know if you need a USGI green follower to test out.

Lent the D&H magazines to my co-worker, all of them function perfectly in his PSA AR (which doesn't like PMags, go figure.)

So would this indicate it might be an issue with my lower receiver after all then?

I saw you said you tried your BCG in your friend's rifle, but did you try his BCG in yours? Lower receivers are so simple that it makes me wonder what it could be if not the BCG.

Third date

I haven't though, no. I do still plan to upgrade my BCG in the near future however and so I'll be able give it another shot then.
