Default Chinese Weapon Imports

Was just researching a little bit and had a question. I saw that Norinco was banned because it was affiliated with the Chinese government and also was connected to counter-U.S. activities, and for supposedly selling rpg's to street gangs as well. Couldn't find any law that banned Chinese imports, only Norinco imports, which is most of them I'm sure.

Is this true? Theoretically if there was a private, non-government affiliated manufacturer in China would they be able to import rifles to the U.S.?

President klinton banned Chinese weapons from import via an executive order.

In my opinion, he didn't go far enough.

Should've banned all goods imported from china, but that's a whole other topic altogether.

Shotguns manufactured by Norinco are currently being imported into the USA.
Some are branded "H&R", Catamount Fury, even some Turkish shotguns are Chinese parts.
The restrictions on Chinese manufactured firearms are aimed at anything with a rifled barrel.
The answers you seek are found on the US State Department web site and across the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, Bureau of Industry and Security, US Customs, ATF Imports Branch, The Arms Export Control Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

They were banned for several reasons:

1) Norinco was sharing missile technology with the Iranians and doing other nefarious stuff with unfriendly actors.

2) They were using U.S. ports as staging points to ship weapons to entities in South America.

3) The Clintons got caught selling secrets to the Chinese as well as attempting to sell the Port of Long Beach to the Chinese themselves so needed to act tough against the Chinese so they went after the low-hanging fruit, aka guns.

4) Not officially documented but I would imagine domestic companies like Ruger, Colt, Remington, etc. lobbied to get them banned because they couldn't handle the competition.

Operation Dragonfire happened two years after Norinco and Polytech were banned so had nothing to do with the ban but it was a feather in the Clintons' cap.

Fuck that shit. I want Chinese steel core ammo and Chinese AKs and SKSs. And I don't just want a little. I want shitloads of it.
I hope Bill Clinton dies a miserable, horrible death... like being forced to bone Shitlery and then dying of gonorrhea.

Well if the fucktards McConnell and Ryan let the SHARE Act come to a vote we might be able to get our Chinese imports back as well as suppressors removed from the NFA.

Would be nice to get cheap SKSs and AKs again but would have really liked to grab a decent priced NDM-86. Too bad BJ screwed us over.

I would like to import type 85 parts. I mean some stamped parts for the pet care industry and some machined parts for the machining industry.

My source in Washington has said no chance this year.
The support isn't there, and still too many holes in the Trump administration.
They need to get key positions in the Gov't filled with Trumps people.

This doesn't surprise me. Honestly, I'd be surprised if it passes at all but I'm being a pessimist.

If it did pass though, wouldn't Norinco still be banned from importing rifled firearms?

Yeah Norinco rifles alone are banned. You'd have to deliberately unban them. Only way that'd ever happen would be if it was apart of some package deal thing like the share act, which then again, why would they specifically unban norinco when they were caught aiding U.S. enemies and doing other illegal stuff. It sucks but getting that ban lifted i'd say is just has a hard as repealing the hughes amendment or something.
