OK,
Got one coming but looking into the Lage and Allaince Arms products to upgrade. Anyone here seen these? I was leaning to the AMP 10 product, good reveiews, good company, cheap ammo, cheap mags, and longer design. But, Lage offers the Max 10 which lengthens the original M10/45 to length I like and I've been told I can get it into a 9mm config with new bolt, new barrel, and mag spacer in grip. If it's this ez, screw off 45 barrel, screw on 9mm barrel, drop in 9mm bolt, inseret spacer, I'd probably lean that direction... Any input here? The AMP 10 product is great, but it is changing so fast its worse than buying a computer. Minute you get one, something better is out.... I might still go this way but some good ole peer pressure is apprciated. Thoughts? I know some will start bagging on the M10/45, but I'm expecting that too ...panzertruppe |

im not really familiar with the amp10 but the lage max uppers are great and yes you can buy the max 45 upper and then just get a 9mm lage bolt & barrel and a spacer for the mag to convert it. check out uzitalk, they got a mac forum and it has alot of info. http://www.uzitalk.com/forums/forumd...82-MAC-10-Talk

I run a Lage. I actually have the M11/9 not an M10, but I was still faced with the same decision - Lage or AMP. One thing to consider is - with the Lage, ROF swaps are easy, not sure if that's the case with the AMP.

Wow,
Thanks guys. watched this thread for ever and didn't see any input. Thought it was going to go away. Thanks for input and it is a nice one/SP89 Jim isn't it? If I get that way, I'll bring my Draco for your engraving and some ammo for the Lage. Jim, have you tried a 9mm swap into the Max 10-45 by lage? panzertruppe |

I have the large on my 10/45. I like it, but it is heavy.

IMHO... shot them all
The M11/9 makes a great little phone booth gun too heavy for it's intended purpose with the Lage. That being said... I have shot a Lage M10... It had a can on it. Now that... is a great little way to move if you are going to carry a little weight. I have shot the M10 45 with the Lage and yeah... it is heavy (have you ever shot a Thompson???). But, I would take a M10 in 45 Lage ALL DAY LONG in a 45 but think the trade off in the 9mm is not worth the weight. Go get a Mini Uzi if you want to shoot the 9 and buy the ammo for it. IMHO... the M10 in 45 is the way to go. .02ymmv
