These are great rifles and are hard to come by. I ended up buying one over a year ago after looking for awhile. If you are on the fence don’t do what I did and sat on it. Your gonna regret it. That’s why I’m gonna order another.

I would like to take this time and thank Atlantic Firearms for putting out many different options for AK lovers like us . Their pricing probably made arsenal/kvar tone down the price they really wanted as MSRP.

Well, I got tired of waiting for the 107CRís to be in stock so I end up building one last year.

There is functional, extended, 4-piece booster made specifically for these rifles. Yes. People do it.

To be honest, its probably put together a little better as well. That and the satisfaction of knowing exactly what was done and how well it was assembled. It definitely has a better finish.

Will be easy to tell if these are new imports or old stock once they start shipping.

Any knowledge if Atlantic will have these? Prefer them over K-Var.

I bought one of these awhile back with plans to sbr a rifle and use this brake. Now this is different than the extended brake and won't be effective?

I have the extended 4-piece flash supressor on one of my 104CR (was FR) rifles. Its made by CNCwarrior and I happen to like it. Works well and I like that I can dissemble and with some work and long fingers get down there and clean the crown. Honestly I've not tried that, but shouldn't be too difficult.

http://www.cncwarrior.com/AK-100-ser...ed-p/23984.htm

My other Ak105 clone/ is stamped and done right. I got the one with the extended 4-piece so I can travel out of state easily with it.

If I get one of these 107CRs - and I am thinking about it!!! I will probably go the same route. Maybe... then again next year I want to by a Dead Air Wolverine, so another SBR would be the ticket.

No money this year ...my wife won out with the cruise this summer...

Not in my experience...I used a Krebs or CNC Warrior (I don't recall which, but they're meaningfully the same) A2 7.62 flavor 14x1LH on a 107CR I threaded. I didn't want to chop at the time, and I dig the look. Unless they've done some wild barrel contour change, doing that and using a CNC or other 14x1LH-->5/8x24RH adapter may be your best bet.

Thanks Bruddah! Yeah, Iím very very happy with my 107CR clone that built last year. After all, 90% of the parts that I used are virgin Bulgarian/Arsenal parts from K-VAR minus the Childersís Guns receiver and Tapco G2 FCG.

I gave in as well already, done a layaway on one.. They will only will do a 60 day layaway instead of their normal 90 day one or so they told me. Figured I would get one of these before they are all gone. Really wanted another Slr107FR but, don't see that happening anytime soon. Probably will be the only 7.62 Ak purchase I do this year. Still waiting on my Childers receiver for my Circle 11 underfolder build tho, and looking forward to that one too. Still debating on going with a Tapco G2 or a RAK-1 trigger in it? Any opinions on those? Pros or cons? Thanks.

I do enjoy my 107CR. I looked for one for awhile and found one in the marketplace here a couple of years ago. The CR's handle different from the FR's, they feel like a more compact rifle even if you have not chopped the barrel. One of these days I will get around to SBR'ing mine.

So does that muzzle device attach to the threads at the gas block combo and cover the barrel?

Here’s a close up of the dimples. Pretty crappy, maybe not as bad as the ones on the recent UR’s but still more shallow, uneven and not as crisp as the ones from 6-7 years ago.

I stand corrected on the dates. Appears to be 2017 production. The rail spot welds look "spotty". I agree comparing it to my 2013.
Mine should show up next week. I'll have to look it over. Unfortunately this is Arsenal's way they stamp these now. At some point in the last several years, they have changed their tooling or mfg. process. The dimples are less defined and shallow compared to the previous stamping and the symmetry of the spot welds cruder as well. I had forgotten this as the last several Arsenal products have been milled receivers.

2013 BD coded.
