The horror, the horror......

Hopefully there will be more?

ETA: They have 1834 of the regular ones. So I imagine some will be culled as BLEMs. I predict more.

A lot of magazine deals have come and gone lately. But what about PSA? Yea, they still got the Croatians by the case with free shipping.

Case of 42 Blem Croatian AK-47 7.62x39mm 30rd Capacity Magazine, Steel w/Bolt Hold Open.
Availability: In stock
$229.99

Because they work in some gun's some times.

Almost as bad as "Gibbs" co. mags, they are absolute trash.

Gibb's / Matra mags are even worse than Croatian, they will not hold ammo inside the feed lips, but seat fine.

I finally found how to make these mags work! They work GREAT as 50 Yard AK Targets in the snow! My only regret is that I did not bring them all with me to the range.

Croats are OK, notice I said "OK". 9mm is right some member have to sand the rear locking lug for fitment issues.

Here is IMHO a com block steel mag ranking from best to adequate:

Yugo Mils
Pole Mils
E.German Mils
Hungarian, Romanian and Bulgarian Mils
Refurb Pole Mils (Some paint sanding fitment issues reported by members)
New Production Croats (Some rear lug sanding issues reported by members) I like mine and have no fitment issues.
New Production Zastava (No experience with these although 6 or more members have reported liking very much and there is a detailed comparison thread in the "general rifles" section.

Again this is just my humble opinion. Other members surely have their rankings. Now is the time to stock up on whatever you decide as I have been seeing some good deals lately from different vendors.

The Zastava mags at APEX have had good reviews. But seemingly they are the same as the Croatians in that some need fitting. It is noted in the comments on the APEX site about the mags.
An easy fix and the Croats for $5.71 each shipped for a case of 42 are a good value.

For targets there are cheaper alternatives.

Totally agree the Croats are a steal at that price. Mine fit all my AKs with no fitting.

I bought two of the Croatian mags as part of an order for other mags. Just wanted a couple to have. Both needed a little bit of fitting, but no big deal. They work great now.

I did read an add, can't remember where, that said the new production Croatian mags no longer need fitting.

I got in on the current Croatian Palmetto deal which I'm guessing are the newer production where they fix the fitment issues from early on & they fit like 8-10 different AKs I've tried with no fitment issues.

I did get some of the earlier ones from like 2 years ago & those did have fitment issues

No paint, I just strip the fee lips / lug's and that is the factory finish that remains.

You can see the flat black paint color, that is the paint stripper that touched the heavy paint that must be removed to fit all rifles, just south of that line is the shiny paint they put on to re-furbish the magazines.
