Looks like they didn't trim that rear long rivet enough (LH side), that would piss me off on a $1800 AK.

Good catch. I hadn't seen that yet. Yep $1800 AK still doesn't buy perfect rivets I guess.

I agree, impressive collection. My favorites are the Galil (7.62x39) Tantel's and the stack of Opap's (great investment)

AdamP123.....that is truly an amazing collection!!
And what titanium lined, mile deep cave do they all presently reside in???
Does your collecting prowess extend to other calibers or just AKs?
I'd just be worried about every meth head within 500 miles trying to....er.....relieve me of a few of those.
But thanks for the display........I'll look it over more closely.
Maybe I'll ask for some suggestions regarding my next "over priced" purchase!

Well if you don't mind spending money on cool looking shit this one will work. Actually an awesome looking rifle and the builders are first class, just pricey. https://mdcmfg.com/collections/ak-ri...dc-47-the-volk

FWIW I would rather go with the IWI Galil Ace myself, but that Rifle does look interesting.

https://www.armsunlimited.com/IWI-Ga...-p/gar1639.htm

FTM I would rather have the ACE than any RD rifle too.

Well tell us how you really feel about Aces Adam! lol. Awesome collection of rifles though. Might be the best I have seen. Given people lots of ideas on how to customize their own rifles.

Thanks DOS!
I'm actually pretty "old school" in my thought processes and purchases.
The impetus behind my AK purchases was their reputation for taking a lot of punishment....and more punishment......and their ability to just keep going under the most adverse of conditions.
The AR strikes me as a parlor firearm.....efficient and pretty.....but too popular for my tastes.
And, while my new RD is pretty....I'm fully confident that it will hold up in whatever environment I might use it in.
Yeah....the AR will throw a slug at an opponent.....but I wouldn't feel as much confidence in it after dragging it through rough terrain, mud, dirt and a lack of cleaning.
And up to this point, my only optics are my eyes.
All the add on doodads are fun I guess.....but, unless I'm wrong, the AK wasn't designed for spot-on precision, sniper quality distance shooting.
You presented a very nice rifle.....it's just not for me.
But thanks!

Not really. I am just a hardcore 7.62x39 guy. I am getting into .308 (ditched 5.45 and 54r), but others have way more knowledge than me.

I'd be more than happy to assist you. I am good at blowing cash, especially if it belongs to someone else. What I can tell you is that I will advise you into way more "gun" for the money than what you spent on your RD.

Tx!
I'm new to this.
I've got a safe full of handguns....never thought I'd be involved in rifles.
But when I thought that filthy POS Hillary actually might make it to the White House....I reconsidered what sort of firearm I'd like to have around.
The AK certainly fit the bill.
If I paid too much for the RD.....Well......Live and Learn.
But I'm very pleased with it.
But not knowing the varied nuances of the AK platform......I guess I have some growing to do.
But that's what makes life interesting .......isn't it!

Your thoughts on "value" are irrelevant to me.
If you actually handled this rifle you might see the " value".
But you won't...and you'll just post negative BS about a weapon you've never shot or handled.
But again........the bottom line is......I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THIS RIFLE!!!
So I guess you can go try and impregnate yourself........RD makes a fine product!
Wait a second...

It is my opinion that the bronze finish on that rifle is ugly as fuck. With all of the badass finish options available today I have no idea why you would go all gold teef on your rifle. But it is your rifle & beauty is in the eye of the beholder so as long as you're happy...

It is a fact that there is absolutely nothing special about your rifle in terms of function. It is an AK. As others have pointed out, 100's of guys here could've built you one of equal quality for 1/3 the price. And 10's of 1,000's of slave laborers in arms factories around the world also could have for 1/10 the price. Minus the gold teef of course.

Aces post with the car analogy is spot on. You bought into the marketing hype & now you're trying to justify it. You came here looking for reassurance & when you didn't get it you became defensive. Instead of being butt-hurt by the truth you should be appreciative of it. Learn from your mistakes. I guarantee, in reality, the only thing your RD rifle will do that your SAM7 won't is break if you shoot it enough.

It is a fact that if you can't handle the truth you shouldn't be a member of the files. For here you will get no vaseline.

Congrats on the new rifle.
Here's some truth for ya.....I couldn't give a damn less about your opinion and I CERTAINLY don't need reassurance from you or anyone else....
It was nice of you to tell me how ugly you think it is though!
RD products appear to be pretty well respected on line, in gun shops and by more than a few gunsmiths.
You don't like Rds......good for you.
I love it!
And I just might get more.
As for "vaseline".......I'm sure you've had much more need for it than I have!!

BTW.....what do you consider a "badass" finish?

Very good looking rifle.
The only thing I would change is have the FSB pinned. Just bolt on does not make it secure enough imo.

Damn. That collection is legit. Wow. I thought I was doing good with 9 AK's. Those rifles you have are more unique and neater than a rifle Dynamics
