Default Any places you know of selling Chinese SKSís

I remember a dozen places selling them in grades a,b,c . I loved finding them in cosmo and plentiful. Not looking for Yugoslavia ones

How ive found em:

Hit the local shows on the first day and as early as possible.

Scour the LGS's in a 100mile radius of your location (call first, obviously).

They aint selling for under $300 anymore, but good deals are out there if you're patient and also diligent.

Good luck

And hit the auctions

Unless the political winds shift, Chinese SKS are likely never to be imported again. Like was said, prices have went up drastically the last few years. I was in a shop Friday afternoon and spied one missing it's bayo for well over $600. A shop near me has a bubba'ed tacti-screwed SKS for $695. Ridiculous.
$4-500 is probably going rate unless you happen onto a better deal.

They still come up on Armslist between $350-400. Every once in a while for $300. Check it out and maybe there are some local to you.

I've found them at multiple LGSs. Everything from complete original, rusted and missing bayonet, SKS-D/Ms to hick engineered Tapco atrocities. I want one myself but its hard to justify the prices they go for now. I've seen them anywhere from $400-700, even with bayonet missing! I saw a beautiful Polytech SKS during my short trip to Utah but they wanted $599 for it.

Unfortunately Russian and Yugos are within the same price range as well.

Without the factory mag collectability is gone. Shooter grades don't bring a lot.

Picked up a norinco SKS here in south east GA for 300. Going rate is 3-400 here but normally
People can't find a buyer that high so will go 350.

Here in Oregon there are no cheap SKS's anymore. Usual rate for a ChiCom spiker is $400.00+, Russian $500.00+ all used. Saw one a while ago for $375.00, should have bought it. SKS M or D models are way high.

I'd also be interested in a excellent condition SKS, y'all shoot me a PM if you need it to find a new loving home for a decent/fair price.

Did a trip to AZ last week, went to as many gun stores as I could find in Flagstaff, Phoenix metro area, and Prescott. Last day I was in Prescott, was disappointed in J&G Sales lack of what I was looking for (Bakelite mags) and decided to try a small shop not too far away. They had a beautiful condition Triangle 26 Gong An issued SKS imported by Kengs, no Norinco markings anywhere. All parts except the magazine had matching serial numbers. Best of all it was $340 so despite spending so much money during my trip, I quickly bought it.

Though I had to drift the front sight far to the right to get it zeroed at 25yds, the gun is very accurate so far with the Brown Bear I recently got from Copes.

The same shop had a Factory <0205> imported by CAI without bayonet, apparently this factory either removes it or manufactures them without one. Anyone have info on this variant? I was temped to buy it as well (I think it was between $240-280, don't remember though) I spent so much I decided against it. Is that a good price for a bayonet-less SKS?

Spike bayos are around $20, blades cost about $40.

Stopped into a very small pawn shop in Kanab UT a few weeks ago and picked up a factory 0140 SKS for $295.

Nice, does yours say 公安 (Public Security) on the right side of the receiver?

I drove through Kanab last October on the way back from the Grand Canyon I should drive through there again lol

It would be on the other side of the receiver, right below the bolt handle if the bolt is locked to the rear. Yes that side pictured is simply Type 56. Regardless, still a nice and looks to be a more rare variant.

Nothing cool like a Public Safety rifle. But for under three bills, I am still pretty hapoy to have picked it up

Looks like a cast receiver. Are there two vertical pins holding the barrel in?

Just a single pin crossways under the receiver like an AK. Receiver is forged, the machining is just a little rough on the edge.
