And still getting it done, taken a few days ago somewhere in syria, In the hands of Russian troops.

"The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the "high powers" delegated directly to the citizen, and `is excepted out of the general powers of government.' A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power." [Cockrum v. State, 24 Tex. 394, at 401-402 (1859)

Nice! there are pictures of them with night vision scopes in Donetsk Ukraine also by Militia.

I watched a powerful documentary on Amazon prime i believe last night on the Beslan School number 1 school take over, several militia in the town had PU scoped 91/30's

They will still reach out and touch someone. Good enough for the Nazis is good enough for IS

Hate to burst any bubbles, but after some google-fu, this image was not taken a few days ago. It's all over Pinterest, Reddit, and been widely used across the net for Russian camo stores too. It appears to have been taken 2 years ago and supposedly posted for the first-time in an online article dated July 9, 2016.

Also, from reading some tweets a day or two after this, it seems these Russian soldiers captured this Mosin from ISIS at Palmyra. So the Ruskies were not using it, but ISIS was.

However, your point is still valid that - the Mosin *is* still in combat today (even if not on the side you might expect it to be). Can't beat a classic!

On another note - I notice the scope is turned 90 degrees counterclockwise so the knobs are on the left and top instead of the top and right. Interesting.

They are great rifles, picked for accuracy and performance at the factory I’m not surprised a bit they still are around in conflicts

What's impressive to me is that 7.62x54r is still in military use 120+ years after its creation. It's still a very good round. Damn shame we cant import more of it.

You should read this book:

Sepp Allerberger, Germany's #2 sniper of WW2, he used a captured Mosin Nagant, absolutely amazing read, one of my favorite books.... shit I'm gonna start reading it again

I know that things evolve and technology moves forward, but I miss wood and steel.
Alcohol, Tobacco and firearms should be a convenience store, Not a government agency.
