"Obrez" is a russian nick name for any sawed off gun or shotgun.
Such sawed off Mosins were in use among village criminals during civil war in 1918-1920es. This is to pretty - usually they do not have front sight.
Most common were something like this

Those look absolutely terrifying to fire, anyone know has shot a 91/30 has got to feel sick to their stomach thinking about some poor bastard actually pulling the trigger.
