Remember when these were $800.00.
It's not even a Gen. 3. I wonder if it has the muzzle break pinned upside down. Some did I hear.

I know a shop where gen 2 has been hiding for $800 since they first came in.
It doesn't have all the goodies but it's there.

I was bidding on that but quit after it went over $1500. Really want an Archer but can't justify that amount of money for one. I'll find one eventually. For now I have my SAM5 that I picked up locally. Some say they're better than the Archer as far as accuracy. Not sure on the rare/collectability factor.

@Sneakers1971 would love the hookup on that shop with the Archer. I'll buy it today!!

Were the Hi-Lux Scopes ever used on military Beryl's or are they just marketed as such?

The only optic I've seen on a Beryl is an EOTech. But I can't claim to know for sure.

Question for anyone who does, what mods have you made (if any) to use Arsenal waffle circle10 mags in your Archer?
For the past 4 years, I've just been using Polish Beryl mags in mine, but just recently found a good deal on an Arsenal SLR106CR and it came with a few mags.
On a whim, i stuck the circle10 mag in my Archer, and it fit...snuggly but it fit going in. The issue I had was getting it out. It wasn't exactly stuck as it would move when i hit the mag release, but the front tab had a hard time disengaging from the trunnion.
Looking at both mag types, the circle10's front tab is longer than the Beryl mag's.
I tried the reverse too, and the Beryl mag fit a bit loose but worked fine in the SLR106.
Best part is my Molot 5.56 45 rd mags fit in both too, which looks pretty neat in the SLR haha.

I bought my archer sn 689 from you. It was the first gen III I saw in the wild; so i had to buy it! Anyways I removed all the rubber off the back lug on my (10)s, the front of the magwell is probably to snug causing shavings but they fit so good in the rifle now after use.

I did have issues with beryl mags in the beginning, Which makes since now that i look back on everything. My archer was one of the first gen IIIs IO 922r'd, as we are aware they stopped supplying factory mags and handing out the promag.... unfortunately they filed my mag catch causing bolt over FTFeed with factory mags. Fortunately i found a NOS beryl mag catch from a member over in Poland. She has never missed a beat since.

While I am sure I didn't have the last Archers, the ones I had at the end there were just about the highest serials I've come across to date.

Mine takes Beryl mags fine. I did smooth out the sides of the magwell a bit, but that's all.

Now my older Gen II, that magwell I had to go in and open up some. There were some obvious curves and buldges on the edges of the magwell.

Just more evidence of how much I.O. really cared about both the Archer and its customers.
Also, upside down muzzle brakes....

OK without looking at all these posts, and it may not even be in here, who knows when the serial numbers went from Gen II to Gen III on the Archer, or about when if not exactly certain?

Thank you if you know and post it. I do see the #643 above.

Seems to be around 500-520. Sorry, don't know more exact numbers than that. Its been years since we had these to sell NIB, and the old memory gets froggy with time hehe.

I put a Gen 1 Polish Beryl Archer on layaway yesterday. What is a good source for black and green Archer magazines?

Early 2016,

Best bet is probably a WTB in the Marketplace. Member xxxfencexxx (spelling?) might be a source.

That actually looks like a GEN II. Someone else may know better than I however.

As for mags, as mentioned earlier, out of Poland seems to be only source right now, or pick up some Bulgy Circle 10s.

No Hi-Luxes that I know of, but at least one gun in Afghanistan had a Leapers UTG Bugbuster 3-9x scope on it! That photo was from 2011-2014 (can't remember for sure). This year another gun in Afghan was pictured with some kind of cheap-looking scope, another type of Leapers? I've also saw a photo of Beryl equipped with Schmidt und Bender scope, taken from Sako TRG also used by our troops.

Apart from such one-offs, the only sights officially issued by army are: PCS-5 Gabro NV (mounted on POPC-1 rail), PCS-5M and PCS-6 NV (mounted on POPC-3/4 rails) and EOTech HWS 552.A65/1 (mounted on POPC-2/3/4 rails and on Mini-Beryls B and C variants).
