? You were waiting for the handgaurd and that was the limiting factor in whether you enjoyed the rifle and kept it?

That handguard looks bad ass and looks like it belongs on that rifle.

Good job RS Regulate.

Seems you didn't like it that much regardless of the fore grip which is your call anyway. I'd never sell either of my ACE's I like them too much. Hope you traded for something you like better.

I liked it will enough, nice gun, but I've decided to standardize a bit more across my platforms. I'd have to check but I think less than a year ago I didn't have a single AK. Now I have 16 (or so) along with the tools to build more as I get bored (that happens a lot...). I think I'll stick with my Arsenals (both SAMs and SLRs) and thin the rest of the herd a bit. This was just the first to go. Some Saigas and Romys will be next. Maybe my Vepr12 too.

Oh yeah, the trade...I traded it on a new gray Barrett REC7 DI.

While I'm not into AR's anymore that looks like a smart trade and I can understand it. May it serve you well.

Was curious so I looked back to the beginning of this thread. Pretty much one year ago to the week. "Realistically we are about 2 months out" that was 11-15-16.

As am I. My gun that has been being worked for over a year now should be returning shortly and I have gone with the Midwest handguard that extends to the FSGB.
It’s available now looks just as good and is about $60 less, comes with one rail and free shipping. I’ll probably pick up a second one for my SBR as well.
Lost interest when these didn’t materialize 8 months ago, done with that.

I think I'll be going the same way for the same reasons. Just spent some time re looking at the MI and really don't see a downside to it. Appreciate what you just posted, thanks ddnc.

I was feeling the urge to jump for the MI handguard also (given all the delay) but it looks like the gas tube coverage (or lack thereof) on the MI is just waiting to burn my fingers. Also, for some reason the MI doesn't look as pretty as the RS Regulate. Sure hope Horse gets this product out the door soon.

O.K. Horse, I was looking over the GAR-10M-N photos on the RS Regulate website and I did notice that (for that model at least) your design has two full length M-Lok slots all the way to the front on the bottom of the rail. This makes me happy, provided that the GAR-10M-R for my 7.62x39 Ace has precisely the same configuration (so I can mount my Harris bipod up there). However... still need your input as to whether those M-Lok slots on the 10M-R will in fact be usable.... or will the gas block interfere with the M-Lok connectors at that location?

Pretty isn't as important to me as how does it work. I plan on putting grip panels on the top M-Lok slots anyway which I think will keep my fingers from getting fried something you can't do with the RS design. I get my MI Monday and after I mount it and shoot it I'll let you know if my fingers are intact.

No.
Our Black Friday sale is already planned, no Galil rails will be included.

Purchased a bunch of extra MLOK items to check:
Short answer yup good to go.

Some of them if using the forward bolt location on the first slot - the bolt may touch the gasblock. It’s about 1/8” above the nut so you could give it a short haircut and not have an issue.
Other stuff fits fine.

I’ll post some pics to IG tomorrow and copy them here.

Due to the unique positive grip features, some minor rail panel trimming is needed near the fence ends. If using the front-most bolt position and the long MLOK bolts, you may need to trim them it couple thousandths to prevent it touching the gas block from below. We are expecting to get the rails back from anodizing soon and will put them up for sale ASAP!

Well - maybe if itís designed to keep your fingers off the hot parts in the first place . . .

I just installed mine today and if you find a hot spot with your fingers you had to be looking to burn your fingers purposefully. Frankly it's an imaginary issue in this case...

We will have some on our site and we also have a retailer who would like to be a launch partner. Still finalizing the details with them.

Anodizing is done Wed.

Got the GAR-10M’s back from anodizing yesterday. They look great and are in assembly and final packaging right now. I hope to make them available middle to end of next week. We made both R (7.62x39mm) and N (5.56 & .308) models.

Im super pumped for the new Desolation color. We only ran 15 of these so if you want one, please PM me.
