You don't want any of those old rifles. Hell I don't even know if they work, They are all NIB and none of them have ever even had a mag inserted into them...

I plan on testing different kinds of ammunition for it in the coming months. Everything from standard Barnaul and Wolf to handloads. I can't wait to see what this rifle is capable of since its trigger is a lot better than that of my Mosin and it has almost double the magnification. The acceptance certificate states the rifle shot 29mm (3 x 4-shot) groups, that's about 1 MOA, with iron sites at the factory. I'd be very happy if I can reach that.

If you like I can send you the ammo test results when they are in so you can put them on your website. I enjoyed the information and pictures on your website very much.

Thanks 30, that would be great.

That sucks, I would have shot them until the barrels wore out...

The color and finish on the furniture looks great.

Family photo.

The Mosin Nagant 91/30 PU used to belong to me but is now taken care of by a friend, he also owns the K98K with Jena Zielvier.

Hi from the UK, new here and thought I'd post a couple of pics of my SVD and SVDS both in 7.62x54r.

The SVD with Soviet laminate fitted, also now has the earlier ribbed receiver cover but not fitted in the pic

Nice rifles Snaperskaya! Especially with the wooden stock set, it doesn't get any prettier than that.

Are those straight pull or regular semi-auto?
I remember reading something about UK gun laws that stated semi-auto's couldn't be owned by civilians.

Thank you, yes they are straight pull due to our firearms laws (no semi auto centrefire, only 22rf) as are my two AKs (AKM and AK-103).Also have a 1939 Izhevsk 91/30 and a 1944 M44 carbine so there's a definite Russian theme going on!

That thoroughly sucks to have them neutered like that. One plus side though: you don't have the five-firearms limit like we have here in The Netherlands.
I have a passion for Russian reliability too. I used to own a 1942 Izhevsk 91/30 PU and 1940 Tokarev TT33, they have gone to a loving and caring new owner though. I currently own an Izhmash Tigr and a Bulgarian Arsenal SAR-M1.

I wish I had a better camera but I'd rather spend the money on completing this . Just got a 1p21 Scope that is missing some parts and I need the rubber eye cups, some bulbs to finish it off. Then I need to drill the receiver for the bipod. Pretty fun to shoot though. - My PSL. I envy the guys that have that dark red wood Svds, I can't think of a better looking rifle

I owe everything to akmaadi from this board. He didn't know me at all, I was a stranger from tampa. Far from his home yet I would not have been able to fabricate the aluminum svd brackets without his help. By far the newest person I've ever met online.

You should do a real cheek piece, they're much better than the rheinland rubber.

Hey holiday do you happen to have the specs for the SVD hand guard retainers?
A few of us here are trying to get these done.

Very nice looking rifle BTW!
