Default New SAR K2 .45

Just picked it up today. Since I carry a bag with me every where I go now, I decided to upgrade to 14+1 in .45. I haven't shot it yet, but it feels great. Trigger is pretty nice.

Great pickup! I have had mine for a few years now and have close to 5K rounds through it. It has been a workhorse and it is a joy to shoot, very accurate.

I don't know if they're importing them anymore, does anyone know?

I think that's why the prices has went up on them by $100 over the past year.

EAA is hit and miss with importation of certain models, very similar to CZ. They bring everything over in batches so it is hard to tell. I did pick mine up for around $350 and I just looked and couldn't find any for less than $500. It is still a lot of pistol for the money at $500.

Yeah, a year ago they were $400 and I was kicking myself but I found one for $460 so I jumped on it.

I had a pair of AR-24 pistols that were built by Sarsilmaz. Beautiful, well-crafted and very accurate. I regret getting rid of them, but armalite stopped supporting the platform and wouldn't even stock magazines (which will work in a CZ, but not vice versa) or accessories.

Tanfoglio Witness ( original ) / "duty 9mm" mags will fit your AR24.

To be more specific, these are the mags for the original size pistol, not the humongous "one-size-fits-all-calibers" monstrosity they sold for a few years.

There've been several threads here with lists of all the different Tanfoglio-pattern pistols which have interchangeable magazines.

Older Tanfoglio magazines with metal floorplates will fit, newer small frame magazines with polymer floorplates will not. I have several of each type

Nice Turkish firearm. At a gunshow i went to, a vendor was selling these for well under $400. Good buy for a 45cal.

The price on these has pretty much always been at "are they crazy?!" levels.

That's one reason they're talked up so much - a quality steel 14-round ( 15 w/ one in the pipe ) .45 for under $500

I absolutely love mine! Goes with me everyday. Nails turned me onto it and I thank him for that!

Mine is awesome. It has the smoothest action of any gun I've held. Quite accurate, too.

And, if one were so inclined, you could throw in a stiffer recoil spring and shoot .45 Super.

The manual says no +P ammo...

What is the reason for that?

Recoil spring is not rated for +P. Barrel, slide and frame are all forged, so the gun should handle higher pressures just fine with a stiffer spring.

Heads up for those who have these but we finally have a decent aftermarket grip option. http://www.amazon.com/Sar-arms-k2-Gr...1&keywords=KSD

Which stiffer spring would work in the SARK2 .45?

EDIT:
I guess Wolff makes some for the full-size Witness, 18 lbs.

Ordered one last night.........too good of a deal to pass up.only thing is I got screwed on the Texas sales tax. Even with sales tax and shipping it was still cheaper than anyone else on the net.

Got one earlier this year. Very accurate. My only gripe is no decocker. I have heard reports of the mags not feeding the last couple rounds if left loaded for too long, hasn't happened to me yet though.

Anyone have a link to a kydex 2 mag belt pouch that will fit the k2 .45?

Would be nice if would accept Witness 14 round 10mm mags also.

Yeah, because 10mm rounds are the same diameter at .45 ACP rounds, right?

Mag bodies are identical to the Para-Ordnance P14 mags. Some fitting ( or changing ) of the baseplate may be in order to get them to fit the K2
