One of the attractions of guns as a hobby is that they don't tend to change that much. Too many other things quickly become dated and obsolete but guns do not. I know two guys who each got $500 from their grandmother as graduation gifts back in 1980. One guy bought a Springfield Armory M1A and the other bought a compact stereo system with a turntable and 8 track tape deck. Guess which gift is still a working and valued possession and which is an out of date piece of junk?

Whether you buy a brand new Mossberg 590A1 or an old Winchester Model 1897 chances are it will still be a functional first line weapon decades from now that you will be able to hand down to your kids or their kids. Where will your current smartphone or Xbox be at that time?

If you want Quality Rem 870. Try finding a Wingmaster, Wingmaster Magnum or current production Rem 870 Police Magnum. They all will have forged parts...

Benelli took the pump action shotgun to the next level. The M3 can shoot like a mortal pump action shotgun. Then, you can switch it to shoot fully semi automatic turning it into an invincible death machine. Pretty neat shotgun. I bet Rick Grimes wishes he had one of them.
