Question AK Magazine Carriers for Duty/War Belts

Update: It appears that the pool of carriers/pouches/holsters compatible with AKM magazines is more limited than I had anticipated. If anyone else has recommendations and shares, I will update the list accordingly in case it will help others.

Thank you

I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge, before I pose this question. I am fairly new to AKs.

I am using an Arsenal 106CR, which (of course) uses the Circle 10 5.56-45 magazines. This magazine works with a G-Code Scorpion Hard Shell "7.62" carrier. It is my understanding that most carriers that read as "7.62" are for "7.62-51" caliber magazines, which are molded differently. Is my understanding correct? Will (my) magazines not fit carriers by Esstac or ITW?

I use HSGI tacos, they are universal and fit stanag 556, akm/vz58, ak74 and 308 mags equally well. Stick to the standard single rifle or rifle/pistol versions. The double rifle versions dont work well for 7.62x39.

SSO/Sposn is best in my opinion, they are easy to get and designed for AK mags, not AR and AK. Buy what's designed to fit.

Also their stuff is reasonably priced and comes through customs reasonably quick.

Agreed.

SPOSN , and Ebay has many options to get them in various configs direct from Russia, home of the AK.

I buy from Russian member on the forum, look at SSO website and then message on of the guys on the other side, it normally takes a few days for them to find it but its way cheaper than Ebay.

Normally Kosea, but I have heard good things about Ivan above also.

Kosea has been a very loyal seller for me, awesome on large orders.

Scorpion soft shells are great.. they work equally well for ak or ar mags, without any compromise. The way they're designed is more durable than tacos and even nylon, the sharp steel edges of the mag all ride along a solid plastic edge going in and out. Ive run mine through 15 rifle classes and countless practice and dry fire sessions and they function as new.

I know everyone has a variety of tastes,

And the "mission" differs, but here is American surplus I use and it fits anywhere. I've posted it before.

Hope it helps cuz these things are great, realistic, sturdy, and work. I maybe having technical difficulties..?..
