I put one on layaway. Figured I better grab one while they're around. Had my eye on them for a little while. I really like my full size Draco.

We are glad to see a few of the Mini Draco AK47 trickling in from time to time. Hopefully there will be other AK47 Pistol alternatives offered soon....

My local FFL has a brand new one for $500 out the door - thinking about picking up another. These are nice AK pistols.

Definitely plan on it - he can get some really good deals, and I can't pass this one up. He's holding on to it for me until payday.

The "hot dog bun" Dracos are nice. The early ones had regular wood and the later laminate. I have seen some interesting laminates in this recent batch.

Nice looking. Besides these, will any full-sized AKs (read:SAR1) be coming in from Romania in the near future too?

All that we are aware of is the WASR 10 and possibly some WASR 10 Under Folders and a few of the RH10 series as far as imports go from Romania. Atlantic Arms MFG is working on a few other correctly built Romanian options that you should see being released soon.

Thanks Atlantic, yeah I know about the WASR 10 imports. I should have been clearer by saying "full-sized AKs from Romania with dimpled receivers". It's interesting and weird at the same time that dimpled receiver Mini Dracos are sent but not standard AKs.

AK pistol that doesn't cost as much as an AK rifle, the M92, or the US or imported Dracos... Please... If it's $600+, might as well get a Dracos, M92, or save a couple hundred or so more for an Arsenal...

I don't know anything about building AKs, but I imagine the difference in costs to build an AK pistol vs AK rifle isn't too significant.....so I'd guess a huge price difference just can't happen.

What are the main differences?
Buttstock and a longer barrel....? I know a buttstock doesn't cost much and I wouldn't think an extra 4-6 inches of barrel costs a lot more in materials.

They produce 50 times more AK rifles than pistols so the cost of parts on the AK pistols is more due to the lower volume. It takes the same amount of time to build a pistol as a rifle so there is no real labor savings.

Agreed... No stock, shorter barrel which also means less cost and machine time. So I guess we're paying top dollar for lower volumes. Still don't get why these AK pistols prices increased by around 50% within a year and a half or so as well.

I worked in the manufacturing industry for years. Although I mostly delt with plastics and not metals, cycle times is a huge deal. A few seconds saved might not seem like a big deal, but when you do the math, a couple of seconds saved on cycling could equal several to dozens of extra runs aka more parts being produced per day.

If I was a collector who had all my other bases covered , I'd get one otherwise, I'd pass.
