Default HK433

HK has announced a new rifle the HK433, which is a combination of the G36 and the HK416. The German Army may adopt it as they consider the HK416 to be too expensive. Looks interesting, but I still prefer my modified AKM and AK74 for 7.62X39 and 5.56X45.

Have been looking at the limited HK433 info for a couple days. It looks very promising but wonder what the price is gonna be. If it's +$2,000 like the 416 forgetaboutit. Even the German military told HK to screw it when they saw the price of the 416.

Sure looks a lot like the Beretta ARX100 that has been out for some time. Is this more "innovation" from HK where they take an existing design and copy it?

And they all have the problem plagued multi-lug M16 type bolt which jams if it gets any dirt or sand in it.

Maybe, just MAYBE HK will realize the 433 needs to be substantially cheaper than the $3,000 416 to garner sales. Maybe they will produce it and price it how they did with the VP9 as compared to the P30.

Got this from Larry Vickers review of the Daniel Defense AR. He said get some dirt in the chamber area of an AR and it will jam.

Which is pretty much true of any firearm. It'd jam a AK if enough junk gets in there. It's the "best" proven way to jam any gun, even bolt actions or breach loaders.

Only problem is that the only way that dirt can normally get into a AR-15 chamber from the outside is either though the barrel, or through the ejection port with the bolt hold open activated.

Of course, that's usually been the least of the AR platform's problems. It's problems are usually from within (carbon fouling), and why it's relatively high maintenance without a conventional piston system.

And if HK can sell the 433 for cheaper than the 416 while retaining it's better virtues, why not? The firearms world, like the automotive and motorsports world to me, needs variety.

Meh....I'll stick to my 90 series guns. I love my UMP .45 conversion as well, and would jump on it if HK would bring a G36c or G36k to the US market (open a US factory). These guns just don't have the "look" for me. Another "tweeked" AR. Every AR I own works just fine, so I have no need for this.

HK still hates us

The AR type multi-lug bolt is more easily jammed by dirt than the two lugged bolt design of the AK rifles. Here is a test and guess which type jammed the most?

Tommo mind if I cross post your post of this vid in the thread "2017 -- AKs Still Better for U.S. Civilians?"

I saw this vid when ARG first released it, but forgot about it other than that I had a vague uneasiness about the Tavor and this is what caused it (and certain accuracy reports).

I still like HK. I think they make some of the best weapons on earth. HK, Kalashnikov Concern, Molot, and I am sure there are more.

I like the barrel profile, the combination of several bad ass weapons, the G-3 style charging handle that's in a bad ass spot because your support hand will be there. The barrel profile is Godly, I'll take one in 308 please!

Dont Get your hopes up, if the US market DOES ever see one of these it will be de-balled and over priced to the point of worthlessness like 99% of HK other post 98 rifles.
