Default AES-10b: Current Value?

Got an AES-10b I'm thinking of unloading, but not sure on the current value on these. I've seen some on gunbroker and armslist in the $800 range, all the way up to a ridiculous $1400. I haven't been following them for a while, so wanted to get some opinions of a reasonable range. This one is Romanian-build ugly in places, numbers don't match, but runs like a scalded dog and is in pretty good shape. Thanks for any insight.

I think the market is still in that range you saw. If you're lucky a bidding war or timing will bring you 1400 on gunborker.... here you'll get raped in the market place doosh thread and lower your price down to 850$ new.

Thanks. I figured $800 to $900 or so, but that was using what I knew from several months ago. Market is soft, but not so soft that I'd go too low on it; I'm not in a position to have to sell, would just like to lighten the load a bit. I also wouldn't accept an invitation to the "doosh thread" by asking the $1000+ prices, either.

I'd say $1000 is a fair asking price these days. Not a "douche" price. Seen WTB ads locally and was offered $1K for mine recently.

$800 is quite ridiculously low. They were going for that back around 2010-2011. I've not seen one (at least w/o issues) go for under $1,000 for some time. A distributer posted a small batch nearly a year ago. I believe they were asking around $1,100? and they sold out pretty quickly. The market is only soft on currently available/built/imported things. For good guns that are out of production, people will still pay a decent sum.

Actually, around 2014(?) there were the fixed stock ones without bipods and 'SOC contractor' paratroopers for around $500.

But I agree that $800 is pretty good, given that they're 'gone.'
