Default What to Get?

I've had a hankering for an AR15 of National Match quality/accuracy.
Like a Service or Match rifle complete Upper from a respected builder like Compass Lake or such.

Or maybe just buy a complete rifle.
Something like an RRA LAR-15 NM A2/A4, or perhaps an Armalite M15A4 NM.

There are also a few used guns that fit my criteria Colt AR15 A2 HBAR Sporter setup as a Service Rifle, Krieger barrel 1:7.7, Jewel trigger, double pinned rear, free float match tube, mags, sling and more.

Or maybe, maybe I should grab three of PSA's sub $500 ARs and sell them off during the next election/scare.

What's a guy to do with such First World decisions?
What think y'all?

I've been very happy with my white oak match upper.

I had a BCM SAM-R upper a couple years ago that was boringly accurate. Ten rounds in one ragged hole was very normal with match grade ammo or 69-75gr handloads.

I picked up a Gene Clark's A2 upper in 2014 and added a RRA lower with their 2 stage trigger. Quite the shooter.

You can get a whole rifle for the price of that upper!

It is priced above them all for sure, mine in 2014 was the NM style A2 and a hundred less....still in the pricey relm. AR15's were all higher then too.

Good choice! I have their varmint series 24 inch A4 that is a tack driver, and a couple of their quality lowers. Give us an update once you get it back from the range.

Well that was fast!
I was going to recommend looking into Compass Lake Engineering. If you get bored with that barrel, you can still source Krieger barrels from CLE. Just saying.
Post pics when you get a chance. Enjoy!

As my Dad used to say, "You feeling froggy? Jump!"

The RRA A4 NM had the best price out of everything I was considering.

And that pretty much blows my wad for this year for new firearms.
A new AK with pretty Bakelite and a AR15 NM.

The NM demands I make a weekend trip to CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park.
Nothing like shooting 100-600 and never leaving the line for targets.

Yeah, I know they do, and it's usually pretty hard to find their NM rifles in-stock.
gunsmidwest.com had their A2, A4 and A4 CMP NM models in-stock.... Amazing!

LOL... I'm honestly happy to just keep them in the Black at 600, my wind doping skills need improvement.

IIRC if competition accuracy is the ultimate objective, Larue is top rated out of the box but Sig Sauer's M400 is well spoken for here

RRA and Springfield are on the shit list.

I have a Compass Lake upper with 1/4 minute NM sights with a new (less than 300 rounds on it) Douglas 1 in 7 barrel I am thinking off selling. Been shooting optics lately, cannot see irons any more. Bare muzzle, no flash hider. No BCG, just upper.

$500 shipped.
