Default Vepr 30-06, accuracy reports?

Would like hear from the 30-06 owners how there holding up and what type of accuracy are you getting out of these?

Wish I could help.. All my testing was at about 20 feet.
A customer said he was getting right around 2.5 inches at 100 yards.. On average that is what the saigas and veprs do.

Youíll be able to help once I get one of these bad boys, Iíll need some of those magazines you sell.... so donít stop making them quite yet.

2.5Ē I hope that was with surplus, Iím hoping itís more in the 1.5-2Ē mark and = or less than 1.5Ē with handloads.

Its not like 2.5 at 100 yards is terrible.. That is a 200+ yard deer hunting rifle.. It could do better, but with AK rifles some of the struggle is getting a scope mounted well and getting hand guards that don't cause harmonic issues.

2.5" isn't terrible, I would agree. Scope mounting hopefully wouldn't be too bad with the RS Regulate and a 1-8 PA scope.

Now the harmonics issue ala no free float barrel, I could see being the main problems with the accuracy of these and the AK type rifle. I love my AK's, the aren't going to be AR or Bolt gun accurate.

Also, I don't imagine these need a bullet guide installed in order to utilize your magazines, do they?

no bullet guide required for the Cspec mags in the 30-06 Vepr.

I added a Danzig hanguard and TDI Veper hanguard with vent upper handguard, RS regulate mount and 3-9 optics mounted low

it does well with 165 SST and Fusion at 100 yards. did not get a chance to shot 200 yards. been to busy trying to get more deer meat. Got a 7 point at 100 yards with SST. he ran about 25 yards after a lung shot

I still had my target on the frame, so here is 100 yard zero prone using Hornady SST. it can be rough on brass. I had started out with Golden Bear 168gr SP which did have a different point of impact. The Fusion just did not seem to be as hot as the SST.

That's good to know. I am thinking of getting one of these simply to go with the rest of my collection. I imagine there weren't a whole lot of these produced. I also like 30-06. So many rifles I'd like to get,

I reload, so 30-06 would go well with the other calibers I reload for, same primers, same powders and projectiles:

300 Blackout
308 Win
300 Win Mag

Get it while they still available. They didn't import a lot of them. Once they gone, they gone

It was stuck in my head, I went ahead and picked one up. $930 shipped for the 23" version. Which will go nice with the 23" 7.62x39 and the FM-308-22.

I'll have to work hard to get some of those CSSPECS 20rnd mags

Just curious, has anyone used steel cased 30-06 in these VEPR's ? Feeding these things is a costly proposition.

It feeds and functions fine. Not sure about accuracy with the steel as my test range is 10 yards.

does fine with steel case.
I used this at the sale price
https://www.sportsmansguide.com/prod...bled+Deep+Link

$270/500 and find a free ship code. just note that it shot 4 inches to the right of the SST and Fusion 165 gr.

Mine should be here tomorrow, hopefully can get out this weekend and get some groups going. Iíll be reloading for this at some point, Iím sure my reloads will be more accurate than the standard 30-06 offerings.
