I prefer the original look with wood, but I must admit... your tactical conversions are astounding!
Excellent work.

Have to imagine that lets you know it when you pull the trigger, haha.

What barrel length and twist rate are you guys putting on the 300WM build? Be interesting to see what velocities you can safely achieve with it.

Yes I also would like to know about that 300wm. Well my husband does. I would just like a 54r version.

The funniest thing is that stock 762x54R is easily converted to 300WSM by just replacing the barrel.

300wsm feeds good from stock svd magazine and you don't need touch the boltface of 762x54r bolt - it will just work fine (as well as it dp with 300WM)

Considering that minimum barrel length you shall have is 20.5* it will be a good hunting rifle with good speed and good accuracy (even wiyh non freefloated base DVD foreend)

Made chmber today, reciever thread with correct headspace and extractor cut.

At monday will go contour it. Decided to lrave 1" of the barrel diameter up to the 13" of the barrel and 3/4 of an inch up tp the muzzlebrake.

Will have to make custom gasblock sibce stock do have only 16.62mm base barrel hole

The target weight of the complete sysyem with out chassis and adjustable stock is 5kg. So i think we shall fit.

Curious to see what the gas system looks like for that, if you're using one.

Does that affect the action timing very much or at all? What size is the gas port hole in the barrel?

So we had time.and went to make ladder test with our Dragunov 300WM.

Results are promising.
While Hornady 208 ELD had a good goruping on 100m but started falled apart on 300m we decided to move to 220gr Lapua Scenar with RS70 powder.

So here are the results with 220gr Lapua Scenat and 67gr of RS70 at 250 meters.

Now this rifle deserves a good scope

Man I wish we could buy these here. That looks very nice. Maybe we could convince WPB or Cugir to make them.
