To be fair, I think there are fanboys/haters on both sides trying a bit too hard to claim it's all one thing or the other. In any case, as I mentioned earlier, there's more evidence SIG pulled a naughty or three than that it's all just "fake". The really interesting/sad/funny thing to me about this is that even on the SIGForum fewer people tried so hard to fanboy defend SIG on this vs here.

Well I didn't think it would ever happen, but here we are. These SIG memes are more unfunny than pro liberal memes. Guess the end of the world will be happening shortly.

I like guns, Sig makes guns, I blindly support them, and all other gun manufacturers no matter what they do...including selling out other manufacturers and dealers...because they makes guns, and I like guns better than any liberal shit.

Yes it is funny.

If news came out that my daily carry would fire when dropped I would sell it and buy something else. I wouldn't sit on here and defend it and say everyone else is butt hurt or jealous. Why would I be jealous when I can buy one myself if I thought it was so great?

It's hard to know what's real and what's fake these days.
Watched a video where the P320 was simply struck from the rear with a hammer.
Not dropped, just popped on the back of the slide.
This guy pulled the bullet and gunpowder leaving an empty case with a primer.
A few raps to the rear and POW.

The video appeared real.
Left me concerned.

Saw the same vid. If I owned one I would be bummed, but hopefully their upgrade will fix it.

Yeah, it's as easy as producing a video where a gun goes off when you pull the trigger. The only difference is, with the 320, you don't have to pull the trigger.

I'm curious myself. When the store opens today I'll grab a bullet puller and make some science on my p320.

You can do the same thing to a Walther PPQ and an HK VP9 and it will fire. There is a guy on pistol-forum doing tests on most striker fired guns to see who passes.

This isn't a joke ,it happened,I understand that loyal Sig fans will be skeptical, however it is what it is.Never was a fan of Sigs,17 years ago we carried them ,first day in qualifications mine jammed and couldn't be fixed ,went back to Sig and they replaced it.Thankfully we went to Glocks, truly the AK of pistols despite the internet BS,however our new commander changed ,a Glock hater and we carry the worthless MP SW. I carry my Glock 26 as my backup when on duty, that's allowed go figure.

So this is not only happened to the Taurus and the Sig. Taurus response was good with their gen 2 replacement at the beginning then become very very slow. Wish the P320 owner a better luck.

Looks like Sig is paying shipping both ways, but if a P320 is your only firestick, it looks like it is going to take several weeks to process, repair and return ship the pistols. Kinda sucks, but at least they are not sticking owners with shipping charges. I hope this is the only speed bump for the P320, because I like mine.

I am. If for no other reason than Murphy rearing it's head and something unlikely should occur. Would be pretty shitty IF something were to happen and then some freaking lawyer finding out there was a way to help prevent such a thing and i didn't voluntarily do it. Realistic? Maybe, maybe not, but it's one less thing to leave me arse hanging out in a freak accident.

Welp, color me disappointed. I went out this morning and got the bullet puller and a box of 9mm and 45acp. I emptied out a couple of round and fed them into my P320. I proceeded to beat the everloving shit out of the gun with a mallet. I'm talking a solid 100-200 blows all over the back of the frame and slide from various angles. I even hit it from the front and side a few dozen times at different angles. The thing just wouldn't go off. Then I removed the 45acp slide and put on a 9mm slide and barrel and did the whole process again.

I'm tellin' you guys, I seriously was expecting it to go off. I had my eye and ear protection on and everything. FWIW, my gun is originally the 45acp version which is different to accommodate the larger magazines and came out a lot later than the original smaller calibers. Both of the slides and barrels were full size versions.

That's great, perhaps some or most guns won't do it. This is, however, one reason I wouldn't want a used P320 at this point, considering how many people have been beating the shit out of them just to see if they will malfunction.

All the more reason to just buy a Glock and call it a day.
