Default Arsenal SA M-7 classic

Picked up a SA M-7 few weeks back. Guy thought it was a SAM7 and sold it cheap. Low and behold it wasn't serial number is in the high 500s. Only problem was previous owner cut the lower tang off and handgaurd retainer which I got all new Russia parts as replacements. Just searching now for a bulgy scope rail. Anyone else have one of these early 2000s Arsenals

I have a SAS M-7 Classic. I know its not the same exactly, and the SA M-7 Classic is rarer....either way, real nice rifles. That said, I don't much care for the wood. Its too 'commercial' looking for my taste, so i replaced it with Bulgie bakelite stuff. I am sure you'll love yours. If you don't, sell it to me hehe, cheers.

Don't add a scope rail to that receiver. Did that one come with one?
Add a Master Mount, no damage to your receiver and can be switched back to stock very easy.
If it came with one, my apologizes.

Doug Ford used to sell a reproduction AK74N scope rail. These would be authentic for a Type 3, if you could find one. Maybe somebody could talk Tortort or Jmac into doing a run of these.

Rammstein, what year production is your SA M-7? The very first of them had poly furniture and no rail mount on the receiver. I have a 2000 model (first year).

It never came with a rail. My plan was to find a 74N mount. I have a few friends in Russia who could probably get me one. Mine is a 2001 model mine would be the R series with the 90 gas block

I have one of the fixed stocks SA M-7 Classic in mint unfired condition and two (just sold one off) of the underfolders SAS M-7 Classic. I sold the underfolder for $2100. Folks keep asking if I'd sell the fixed stock, and I'm reluctant for a couple of reasons.. 1stly, my search showed they were going for over $2k back in 2012 (folks were complaining back then about the price, but paying it)... 2ndly, I have absolutely no idea what to ask for it. My SN appears mightly low.. 01 0024 Could it possibly been the 24th rifle of the 1st batch?? I searched GB for current and completed auctions going back as far as they would allow... and not a single one. Folks do get this confused sometimes with the SAM7 (not the classic), and tell me they can get them readily.... wrong rifle bud..
As nice as these are, I love the Poly Legend more.. personal preference

Seriously I would just leave it in that stand with a plexi case around it. That looks like it belongs in a museum

Thats the Ban model - you can tell from the lack of fangs under the FSB. Still a Classic though.

This is the correct rail for a milled AK:

I assume that base won't expect the current mount like a PKA or Kobra optic. Let alone trying to find the current rail

OP, nice SA M7. I wouldn't part with it.

I'd like to have a base made from a magazine like that.
If only my welder had not been stolen, along with most everything else in my shop.

I can see you like Chinese better because your display stand is made from a Chinese magazine.

I have one of the original Arsenal Sam 7 Classics.

I was thinking of selling it but am still undecided. New and un-fired safe queen (unless it was test fired at Arsenal).

I just can't bring myself to shoot it. Too nice.

The serial number is AC 02 152. I'm guessing it is number 2 of 152 Classics made. Or the 152nd rifle of the 2nd batch? Anybody know??
