Default The new PSA 18" AR is done...almost.

I received the rifle kit early yesterday evening and put it together last night. Everything looks good, no issues at all putting it together. I noticed that the upper is not marked with the PSA logo, like my midlength is, on the left hand side near the delta ring, but honestly, I prefer it unmarked. The trigger pull feels a bit heavier than usual, but that may get better after some break in. It's not gritty, or nothing, it's just the pull weight seems higher than normal.

I swapped the handguards for Magpul ones, the grip for a BCM Mod 3 and a BCM trigger guard. I have a rear sight on order, but I haven't received it yet. Depending on how good of a shooter it is, I'll probably upgrade the optics. I also ordered an A1 butt stock as I find the A2 too long.

Too bad it will be a few months before I can shoot it. It's just too hot right now to do so. Anyway, on to the pics.

And if Nails says these pics are huge, they are only 1,344px × 756px.

You're killing me!

When you first posted the kit I was pretty sure I want one.

Now I've got to wait months for a range report?

Hopefully we'll have a day where it's overcast or just rained so it's not stupid hot outside, and I can take it out to shoot. I hate having a new gun and having to wait to shoot it.

Hey 89,

Is the buffer tube for the fixed stock the same as an adjustable, or is it lacking the detents?

It's a rifle buffer tube. It's doesn't have the adjustment points, it's all smooth and it's longer. It also doesn't use a castle nut, you just screw it in all the way, then tighten it down on the flats it has on the end for a wrench.

A1 and A2 stocks both work on it, but the A2 needs a spacer on the end of it, which it came with. You just remove the spacer for an A1 stock, and use a shorter screw.

I got the same upper, I think you'll be very pleased how it shoots.
Which lower is that? Looks like Delton, but slightly different.
I want a A1 stock lol

The lower is an old Ameetec Arms. They're now defunct, but they were the ARFCOM big deal about 13 years ago. They were local to me, so I bought it back in 04. I've used it before, but hadn't used it in a few years, so I painted it because it had a kind of glossy teflon like look to it, and brought it out of retirement. It matches the upper almost exactly.

The logo is actually kind of cool looking.

This isn't my pic, but here's a closer view of what they look like.

I haven't shot it yet. I hate buying guns in the summer and having to wait to shoot them, but the deal was too good to pass up. Today would actually be a good day, as it's overcast and not very hot. Unfortunately, I'm at work.
