This is awesome. Finally waited out for a mount that did not need any welding nor tinkering with the receiver. Just to note, I have a polish UF with no mount. Amazing! I do hope it does clear the underfolder though.

A side rail, by any manufacturer, can be problematic on any underfolder. Often the underfolder arm needs to be notched on the inside in order to clear the side rail. Whether that needs to be done or not, the optic mount will definitely have to be removed from the side rail for the underfolder arm to fold up.

Default AK Master Mount

I just recently acquired an AK Master mount. I don't usually post things on products unless I'm very impressed. The master mount is everything it is advertised to be. It was very easy to install and currently I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I sent an email to the company to ask what would be the best mounting option (i.e. RS Regulate) to use with the master mount. James Duncan, the President of the company, called me himself. Super nice guy. I spent about 25 minutes on the phone with him discussing various mounting options and just AK's in general. I really can't say enough nice things about the guy. I have since corresponded with him several times and he has always been extremely courteous and customer satisfaction driven. There may be a better product out there, if so I don't know what it is. I would recommend an AK Master mount based on the quality alone however, coupled with the customer service I have received, I would not personally buy anything else.

Thank again James. You're tops in my book!

Wow Xaq88, what a post! Thank you for the kind words as it is purely by word of mouth from supporters like you that make this endeavor possible for me. Glad I could be of service to you as sometimes I probably get a little too opinionated and passionate in my replies.

These things SUCK because it won't fit on my AR!

No seriously, I have several and it is odd no one ever thought this concept out before. The really ingenious thing is, is that it is not permanent so you can go back and forth if need be and for those AKs that only come without a rail, problem solved.
Now your Galil, valmet and polytechs can have a rail.
Also for those that are not set up rework a receiver for a riveted rail again, problem solved.
Once in place they are solid as hell, don't need a pin retention plate or spring and I use a dab of blue thread locker because in all probability it will stay where it is.
Lastly, they are not a cheap product. I do have the aluminum ones just because the steelies weren't available yet but I just got a 5th one (steel) for a Draco.
So for those on the fence, go for it. Money well spent.

I have three ak master mounts. They are an excellent product. Work as advertised. Have one on a milled mak, slr 95, and sa-93. James is very helpful with any questions.
