I don't know what they're thinking over at ALG, as I'm sure the name changes combined with the price hikes are going to put a damper on their sales and cause a good number of headaches for them when customers order one thing thinking they're getting another. I almost ordered an AKT-E from their website before SHOT Show, thinking that $65 was a good deal for the premium model, so I'm glad now that I didn't.

Around Christmas the AKT-E (now UL) could've been had for $65 at Brownells, and now they want more for it than a Red Star Arms adjustable trigger goes for. Well, that's a choice they made easy for me.

Anyway, for those interested, here are a few links to some good deals at the old pricing:
$45 shipped - AKT-E @ Prepper Gun Shop via Gunbroker - sold out
$49 shipped - AKT-E @ Valhalla Tactical
$75 shipped - AKT-UL @ Prepper Gun Shop

I'd like to use a combloc hammer in my AKs, can you use combloc hammers with G2 triggers?

The version that prepper is selling claims that it's a 6lb pull, does that sound correct?

https://www.preppergunshop.com/alg-d...free-shipping/

****Disregard, I just got from the phone with someone there and he checked with their gunsmith. After about 7 minutes on hold, he came back and told me that it's way lighter than 6 lbs, which I was sure it was, but wanted to check if they had a "new" trigger, etc... He said they are going to be "revamping their website to be more indicative of the truth." Whatever that means......

Sorry you had to wait on hold that long to get an answer. We hired some new sales reps to keep up with customer phone calls, emails and chats and they are doing their best.

The information on that page has been updated to match what ALG lists on their website for that trigger. Our gunsmith is putting one of these triggers on an AK build today so I can have him measure the actual trigger pull weight when he is finished.

At the time of my reply, we still have 75 of the 05-327 in-stock and ready to ship. Also, we are still selling them at the old pricing of $74.99 with free shipping (while supplies last).

When our salesperson said "revamping their website to be more indicative of the truth." he just meant that in the near future we are planning on updating our product descriptions on our website to ensure better accuracy since we didn't have time to do so in 2016. Thanks for your understanding.

At 3:19 she says they are changing over the disconnects. I wonder if it's going to address the few that have broke?

I had been contemplating the alg vs. the enhanced and whether either of them were worth the money. Finally bought 2 for my AKs because of this forum and damn price increase. You forced my hand, alg.

Too lazy to embed the Jurassic Park Clever Girl meme, but that's what I'm feeling.

Does anyone know why the disconnector tail is so long? Is this crucial to their geometry or pull/reset design? Does it decrease the strength of the part if dremeled?

I just got through installing an enhanced on my Polish to replace the G2 that it came with which was a little gritty compared to my other G2 on my Saiga Legion. I had to do the roll pin clearance deal and had a bitch of a time pounding that little sucker in, wasn't a few taps with a hammer like on AKT's install video. Got it in now and just dry firing it my first impression is it sure is a light pull even with the extra helper spring in. It sure is different and will be looking forward to seeing how much I like it after a few hundred rounds. Right now I wish the trigger pull was a little heavier but time will tell. I bought 2 3 weeks ago at the old price just because of all the posts by all of you that have them and love them. Hope I'm in that category after I put a few hundred rounds on it and get used to it.

I really have gotten used to the RAK-1 in my WASR and I actually love it. I don't know if I should go for the ALG or just spend the $28 for the RAK when my SLR-107 gets in. I guess I should try the ALG. I haven't seen anyone say anything but great things about it. Just not sure how I feel about a 3lb trigger on an AK setup for SHTF which is going to be what my SLR-107 is.

That's where I'm at also. My Polish is my fun gun and low on the first grab list which is why I put the AKT on it first to check out how I like the way it works. I know Rob likes them a lot and he has more real world shooting experience than I'll ever have so I'm guessing there's something to learn here about this whole trigger thing.

Should I wait for the classic trigger or just grab an AKT while it's still available fore the $50 price?

I have the AKT Enhanced on my VEPR currently. I just picked up a Saiga and don't like the Arsenal trigger in it(obviously). So i wouldn't mind keeping the classic look, just would also like the smooth take-up and break of the ALG that I have.

The classic coming this summer or whenever is supposed to be cheaper (not sure how cheap) and have the curved trigger, sounds like what you are after. And maybe by then they'll be including their newer beefed up disconnectors instead of the ones in them now.

Does anyone know the difference between the EL & UL parts wise? I just bought a UL and want to know for sure it's actually a UL instead of an EL in a UL bag.

I have one of their AKT (now called an AKTEL?) fcgs in my 74. About to go to my LGS and pick up another for my WASR while he still has them in stock for $50

Well, I sent them another email asking if they still have any plans to release it.

In the meantime, I did find this:
