Default Galil AR full auto year of manufacture

Hi everyone.
I live in New Zealand and own a full auto Galil AR (we are allowed to own autos with certain laws in NZ)
I'm really interested in the year of manufacture, IWI and IMI will not reply to emails.
The serial number is:2065079
It has all the full Hebrew markings and has not been altered.
Does anyone have any idea when it was made?
Cheers

Pictures would help allot. If the rifle is complete as assembled then it wouldnt be too difficult to figure out. Gas blocks, brakes/flash hiders, stocks and all the other different variations give great clues as to when parts were made.

Also your best bet is to pull handguard and see if there is a date code. Although this isnt a exact date for your rifle, it will help.

There should be a date on the barrel, most likely you will need to pull handguard off and look around the barrel fully in the HG area. Line code with a 2 digit year and letter.

Based on what Im seeing it went through the Israeli arsenal at least 1 time. The receiver can be from early 80s up to late 80s based on it being a non lightening cut and those particular hebrew marks.

A guesstimate Id say is 86 to 92 with that partuclar Block and bayolug if the Gasblock was never replaced.

Cant really make out from pics but flash hider looks like a standard type 2, handguard is later type as well as rear retainer, receiver side stock knuckle is later type and stock can be something made all the way back to late 1970s.

You have to realize that when they made parts and assembled these that the parts could have all been made at different years. Then if they go through the arsenal it can get even more convoluted.

Next thing Id do is pull the HG completely off and look around the barrel for stamping so you can get a accurate year on barrel.

Nice ARM too
