How can they prove their quality if they're the only ones who run tests and then people don't believe the results?

Lets not forget even if they were to give one of their rifles to a 'certain somebody' to test, people would be screaming the test is rigged one way or the other.

Why doesn't somebody just make forged trunnions, bolts and carriers and sell those? I'd buy them.

Don't you think Honda, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota wouldn't all give their own cars 5 stars everyday if it wasn't for 3rd party verifications ??
3rd party unbiased testers like AK operators Union , the most trusted source, are out there.

IF you want the customers to know you're 100% confident in your product, you put it through the unbiased grinder.
$1500 sponsored ammo isn't alot in marketing costs to promote your product.....hell even PSAK passed

I'll make you a fair wager.....if they do it, and they pass, and Rob recommends it .....I WILL buy one.
Not a hater......not at all. I warned people about buying DDI til they proved their quality too.

I do not guinea pig at my own expense for companies wares.

I'd defer that expertise to the master blaster.

When it has been out for a couple years, and Rob Ski has tried everything in his power to destroy it, and it passes, then maybe it will be a good buy...

I understand people here wanting Rob to test one, but you can't expect a manufacturer to delay a product launch until ONE guy tests it. That's not realistic, and frankly places a great deal of trust in one individual (Not that I'm questioning his integrity, because I'm not). I love Rob's reviews, but I'm sure he doesn't have time to test every rifle before it launches.

And we all know how anybody who isn't Rob gets treated around here when it comes to reviews. I have a lot of respect for the guy, but he's not a God.

No, he ain't God.

That said, plenty of folks are buying these things now, 'cause they are el cheapo. Guys like me, we'll wait for a year or two and see if AKOU tortures them first.

'Til then, I only buy com blocs.

Good news Riley glad to hear it. I like the idea of a quality American ak for that day when Killery and her crew ban all imports of firearms.

Indeed. In the old days you could lose when running for Pres and come back and win later. In recent years it just doesn't happen. The stench of defeat (especially since hilldog lost in the 08 primary AND the general in 2016) lingers much longer than it used to. Add in 4 years of age and there's pretty much zero chance that the DNC will allow her to be the nominee. We all know they rig their primaries. If the DNC doesn't want her, and they won't, she's not getting within 100 miles of their ticket.

Yeah, none of us where born and raised in SoCal and lived there for 35+ years.

I left when I saw things going South regardless of how I voted.

SOCAL is half the problem, liberalism as bad as SF.

Your former area does not represent the geographical majority that is red and sane.

Now I get you....

You assume to much.

My "area" of SoCal was rural, pro gun, and extremely Conservative.

Word, it sucks but its much better than it is in liberal areas. Cops here support us. Lots of people rocking 30 rounders no bullet buttons etc.

They wanted to split CA, in that case red CA would be separated from the blue. But it was dropped.

Unfortunately my current employer has an office in oregon and az they need staffed so I am leaving next year when my lease is up.

You lame attempt at an insult fixed and you have proven my point. You got that SOCAL snob in ya still

No area of socal is conservative. Closest thing would be orange which just approved "off roster" guns to be used on CCW lol

You're a fucking moron.

You really seem to have a thing about "snobbery".

Did the local boys not let you play in their tree fort or something when you where a kid?

You have no idea what the area I lived in is like. It's not So Cal that's the issue, it's the Costal high population areas that are the problem.

Yup thats what socal peeps think of us

Socal is more populated and is approaching Coastal area idiocracy. Its socal yall are all the same for the most part.

I get you though I understand, how many other members here are from or in socal?

Best wishes to Reily. But I am happy that none of my AKs are American made and I have no intention of buying one. Maybe in a few years, but I can't imagine why I would choose one over an import.

If other countries can make AR15s as good or better in HK's case why can murica make better AKs?

I will tell you why, unions (maybe) and much higher wages here, at least thats the excuse

Many thanks to the well wishers and the positive interest in the switch.

Our brand-new forged trunions will be available in couple of months as stated previously and are NOT from the same forging vendor/supplier that supplies other manufacturers. Those brand-new forged trunions will be made based on our tooling and no one can order forgings from said tooling except for Riley. In the meantime, the surplus forged trunions, which are in excellent condition, will be used until our brand-new forged trunions become available soon.

We are always trying to improve an already solid product and the rifles that were sold have been performing well and are a great bang for the buck. So it is not logical to offer replacements to something that is working, which was advertised correctly, had a different price point, and with no issues. If someone has issues with their rifle, then there is a warranty and any problems will be corrected to the customer's satisfaction. Our customer service is superb and we never shy away from doing right by the customer when an issue arises.

The price increase will not be significant but is a necessity to cover additional costs. We don't cut corners and never will.

We are working on a milled receiver; we have a prototype but it still needs work so it is too early to talk about release dates. These things take time to develop correctly and we don't want to rush it.
