I have my email address on Grabagun and Kentucky Gun Works to notify me when they are in stock. On Monday I got up at 7am and saw an email from KGW notifying me that they are in stock. I immediately went to the website and found that they were already sold out.

Yep. A lot of people getting up earlier than 7 a.m. and snapping these up.

Especially the FDE model.

(That was bait. Come at me again you fuckers.)

No, don't give it away, just don't take it out of doors and bet your life on it.

For most shooters a VP9 is a fine pistol.

I think they have superb ergonomics, excellent triggers and value pricing.

They just aren't duty grade weapons.

I don't know yet, but this may be close to striker fired perfection.

The USPSA crowd is hot on this pistol. They are using them and the reports are good.

Look closely. The slide is cut for optics too.

Also curious if there will be a sub-compact (P-10SC) at some point.

Rocket science, I know.
I really hope that they will make a sub-compact after the full-size. I got a really good deal on a K100 mk12 a couple weeks ago ($400 NIB), and a P10SC would fill a niche in my handgun collection.

Yeah me too.

They make a short carry version too.

That's 2 $800 pistols to buy. I'll be selling some old fashioned pistols for sure.

The best thing is that I can just buy that grip frame and a couple 17 round mags to make my compact a custom carry

HK VP9 is Duty grade. They have cannon grade steel CHF polygonal rifling barrels, and pass the NATO tests. SIG makes good stuff. CZ has been stepping up and making some bad ass stuff similar to HK and Sig innovative stuff.

My favorite pistols are

Glock 19 Sig p320, VP9, USP 9

I think CZ is stepping up

Well look what I ran into today. Got it around 1pm and think I'm going to turn right around and throw it back on the market.

Got it in a trade deal for a used P2000. Hasn't been fired except at the factory.

Some quick touch points:

It's painful to hold. Texture dots on the front and back straps are way too aggressive. It would be phenomenal to hold with some light sanding of the texture dots.

It kinda fits in my Glock 19 holster but not well

Conceals as good or slightly better than a Glock 19

I like my Glock trigger better. Stock other than $20 connector and polishing. CZ trigger is smooth out of the box so it really cannot better my Glock trigger IMO. P10c has a great trigger though. Best factory trigger out of the box easily with striker fires from what I've felt.

Slightly bigger than the Glock but not that much. Still conceals better.

All in all I like my FN 509 the most.

Can you explain this? How does it conceal better if it's slightly bigger and in the same holster?

I'm surprised about the trigger. I finger banged a pre-production model and the trigger was better than any polished Glock trigger I've ever tried. I've read on other forums that people felt the same way, so maybe the pre-production unit had a little extra attention paid to it.

I was all ready to buy one of these, but the initial reviews are making me rethink it. The media hype was huge.

Angle of the grip. Same with the FN 509. Bigger but conceals better for me than a Glock 19 and it holds 17rds.

And it is close to being as good as my Glock trigger, but nope. The P10c is quickly growing on me though. Thinking about keeping it now.

Went to LGS yesterday and ordered P10C... Hope to get it in a week or so. At the same time left my Sig P320 there for them to sell. I didn't have enough funds to get P10C and that Sig just wasn't for me so I sell that to get money for the CZ. I prefer CZs anyway. Have owned 75 since around mid 90s in Finland and bought P09 here last year. With +2 baseplate I had yesterday on my trucks glovebox CZ with total of 43 rounds of 9mm hollowpoints in 2 mags ready to go if SHTF. Lets see if that P10C replaces P09 as my G2 gun.

Hopefully this is different, but they failed with the FNP, then the FNX and the FNS, and they will most likely fail with the 509. I just don't see it going anywhere unless it picks up steam as a phenomenal out of the box handgun. And what's with the H&K mag prices ??? Pretty bogus. They're really letting their accessory cost hold them back from a bigger market.
