Got my parts kit today from Apex. Quite a bit of it looks like it was never used so I’m guessing those are arsenal replacement parts. Parts have a nice dark olive color to them. The ARM handguard is in good shape but does show use. Gas block doesn’t have the bayo lug, which is no big deal for me. I bought a barrel and a demilled receiver too which is pretty cool.

I took some pictures but need to work on posting them here.

Overall I’m really happy with what I got and glad I ordered. Thanks Mullicrk!

Now I just need the patience to save for the receiver and send it out to get built. Didn’t think that would be a problem but I’m already itching to have it completed!

Your welcome!....Galils are the best (Im somewhat biased)

Get a TortTort receiver... and you will be happy....

Jeff Miller will build that into a great rifle for you....thats my recommendation.

Pretty happy with my kit from Apex. Stock has some wear but is solid, trigger guard and safety are a little twisted but easily fixed. Is there a story somewhere on these barrels?

I picked up a bipod and front night sight from Sarco to go with this, also trying out a Tortort receiver based on recommendations here.

Jeff Miller did my ARM and as expected, it is a very solid rifle. Also, it has the bayonet lug on the GB and has never been a problem. I've had other Galils, some even prebans, with the lug and never an issue.
In fact, i like having it on there, why not? Sometimes you just feel like putting a poky thingy on the end of your rifle right?

While mine has the bayo lug on the GB, i admit i prefer the style with the lug on a separate ring though.
Oh well, can't always have things 100% all the time.
My rifle has the wood HG, orig bipod, carry handle, and receiver with lightening cut.
Also I have both the typical metal stock and earlier type with the curved (hooked) buttplate. I like both for different reasons.

I don't pretend to be a Galil expert, far from it for sure, but still they've been good to me and provided hours of fun over the years.

Mischa, our ARMs sound like twins. Jeff did mine the exact same sans the carry handle, but I have one that I just haven't installed in the parts box.

Every rifle needs a stabby thing that goes forward

Everyone needs a Galil with a stabby or poky thing on the end of it.....Or many of them!

Just an update, yesterday I received an early bipod I bought from Sarco and it did come with the pin and C-clip. Not sure if they all will but thought I’d pass along the info.

Bipod is in pretty good shape too. It’s used but I’d say very little, with only a little bit of surface rust.

I got a couple from them a month or so ago and both came with the pins but no clip. Not a big deal though.

Yep, probably going to order another before they run out. 389 for a like new/re-arsenaled Galil ARM with a barrel. Can't beat that. I remember ARM kit shopping a few years ago

If its a Early block then you can use the one above or get a oldy but goody.

Here is the pin and E-clip from John at 24hourtactical

As far as I know E-sarco are the only ones with the Bipods except for Blackthorne but lets not go there!

If your in a Ban area of IL....Sarco has the 10 round mags for blanks....You may or may not need to change the follower....

Later man
I got my apex kit yeaterday and I got the one without bayonet lug. So the correct bipod for me is the one from second link right?

You are correct but the late model will also work as well. I have a particular liking to the large feet models....check em out

I got my kit from APEX the other day and I cannot believe how nice condition the parts are in. They look like they were freshly manufactured then put away. Only imperfection was some of the finish was scratched on the end of the stock. A lot better looking then the Galil AR kit I bought from them like 1.5/2 years ago. I got an early gas block with no bayonet lug and the hand-guard retainer has no cutout for a carry handle, if any of these kits even have carry handle hand-guard retainers.

Still need a receiver, bipod+hardware, and an ALG FCG.
