Default SA93 mount recommendation

Hi All,
May be "blasphemy" but I want to mount a red dot on my Arsenal SA93..
Any recommendations? Sampson..MI..Ultimak? I've read some make it difficult to put the cleaning rod back...Thanks,Tim

I think I wasn't very clear in my post.. Looking for a mount/rail right now, and optic later.. The SA93 doesn't have anything on the side of the receiver to mount anything..Thanks

I would use an Ultimak if it fits. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of choices for milled AKs without a scope rail.

I would contact Collector's Source and see when they are going to do another run of their optics rail for milled rifles.

Not sure if I would want to drill a nice receiver like that...Something I could change back to keep the rifle original...Ultimak maybe looks like the ticket.

I agree. I would either use an Ultimak or a Texas Weapons Systems railed topcover. I wouldn't mind having a correct side mount that was professionally installed though.

The TWS rails are mounted to their dust cover, correct? That's not a problem for stability or keeping zero?.. That would an easy drop in rail...

I have the Parabellum Armament rail on my SA-93. I have not had it long, just 2 trips to the range. It held zero between range trips and cleaning. Here are a couple pics I just took.

I prefer the Ultimak setup to the TWS. I have Ultimaks on 2 of my AKs, but if the optic you want is eye relief critical and you have no side rail then the TWS is probably your best bet.

Look up the ak master mount. I believe with premier shooting solutions. He is on the files and rob ski did a review on it. It mounts using the trigger axis pins so no drilling needed

I put a Chaos rail on my SLR-95 milled receiver no side mount either.

I really liked it, it was solid, easy to field strip and I just put a peep rear sight on it.

And I will make it three votes for AK MasterMount.

As Chester Cheetah says "Doooo it..."

Do not dick-hole that sweet SA93 just to rivet-on a disimilar metal optic plate. You're begging for rust. Special place in for such blasphemy!

AK Master Mount - I have a ten-spot to contribute - FOR REAL...

Let me know.

Master mount with rs regulate is a great setup. I actually have this on my sa-93 and liked it so much I bought 2 more master mounts for other rifles I own. Great idea, that works, and James at premier shooting solutions provides excellent customer service.

Thanks for the kind words guys on my AK Master Mount side rail.

The SA-93 is my personal favorite shooter as I really like the balance of the rifle.
