I'm ok shooting outside in the sun but whenever I get shade over my head my red dots start to blur. I'd really like a chevron reticle though.

I came across this prism 1x as well from Bushnell called, "Little P" which appears to be much smaller than Primary Arms 1x prisim, and has some type of drop compensater.

Have you not played with the PA Prism ACSS scopes before? It is black because the power is off to the reticle.

Nothing like optics videos, such as the one above about the "little P" (dumb fucking name) that doesnt show the reticle, etc.

Iíll admit, Iím an optics noob. Iíve always thought Iíd rather put that money towards another gun than an optic.

So these $200-300 new budget optics really have my attention lately.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with Primary Arms optics for the money. Holosun is also very good.

Primary Arms has great quality optics. Great glass. I love the ACSS reticle which is really a game changer and were the only ones to have it until they leased it to Holosun for their red dot and then Trijicon for the ACOG. The ACSS is a game changer.

I own three PA red dots, three different PA Prism ACSS scopes, their 1-6x ACSS and their 4-14x ACSS. Forget the name and forget brand whoring. PA makes some of the best optics for the money right now imo. Especially if you want a reticle like the ACSS. It is amazing.

The cool thing about the ACSS reticle on the Prism scopes is that you don't need the power on for it to work as the reticle is etched on and they are built like tanks so shouldn't have any problem lasting in a SHTF scenario.

My only "criticism" about my Browe BCO 7.62x39 is that it has a standard old school acog chevron reticle. If it had the ACSS, that optic would be sheer perfection.

^ Yeah it is surprisingly compact optic. For some reason I was expecting something bulkier.

Reticle and glass quality look very solid.

Same here.

I was just going to buy a red dot, but keep telling myself to wait for this.

It's a big plus it's compatible with Aimpoint micro mounts.

I was telling myself the same thing.... but couldn't wait. Have a Micro inbound.
Still plan on trying this.

All I gotta say is: must be nice to have good enough eyes to be able to use the BDC on a 1x optic without the use of a magnifier.

This optics has an adjustable diaopter. That’s why it’s on my list.

Exact same here man, I loved shooting irons but now I see three front sight posts or more in a crystal effect

Even if the image is sharp as hell, at 1x isnt it tiny though? Looks like it in the pics above

Isnt what tiny, the reticle? There isnt a BDC in the same sense as on other ones. Those lines below the horseshoe are for ranging. All youre using is the chevron or placing the inner crook over the target at longer ranges

This is going to be red dot killer. Etched reticle is illuminated for those who care but of course is visible without any batteries. Since this is etched on the glass, no problems for those who are affected by astigmatism.
Finally, reticle is clearly visible and quality of glass is very good.
ETA, late April.

I wouldnt say red dot killer.......Im sure it will be a very nice optic for sure and work better for some, but in no way is an optic that has an eyebox you have to worry about faster than a point and shoot red dot both eyes open under quick stress or less than perfect shooting positions. Having mild astigmatism myself, I have no issues putting the little starburst of a red dot on target both eyes open without having to think about it, but I will be trying out this 1x prism as well on my AR

It will be the only optic I buy in 1x. To me the red dot market will be nullified.

With the reticle turned on, I don't see how it would be any different than a traditional red dot. Turn that reticle way up for CQB and you would have a instant sight picture. I don't see it being any slower than a red dot. My 2.5x, 3x, and 5x aren't any slower at CQB shots when I have the reticle turned on.
