Default Raptor ACSS Scope for AK47 and AK74

This is awesome First Focal Plane scope for AK rifles. In my eyes, 1-6x FFP Raptor scope sets the new standard for "budget" scopes!

Well, embedding doesn't work in this section...here is link

Thanks Rob, It's nice to have some more options for the AK optics.

I've been sitting some money aside to get a nice scope that works both for CQB and medium ranges for my WBP rifle. In the next week or two I was going to pick up the Recon combo. Now I'll have to mull over which of the two scopes to get with it.

Great to see more options coming out. I love my PA1x6. ACSS.

Neat! Which one is preferred for 6.5x39?

Since Rob spoke about the First vs Second pane difference between the two can anyone tell me more about that?

This would be my first ACSS type optic I've owned. Every other scope I have is just your typical scope. They are all Vortex scopes. I couldn't even say rather they are first or second pane focus.

What difference would I notice between those? $100 isn't a deal breaker to me, but I want to understand what that extra $100 is really buying if that makes sense.

I will give you example, so it will be easier to digest. SFP scope forces you to use maximum magnification to correctly use ranging features or BDC on Reticle - or you have to be really good with math and do scaling.
FFP scope takes that problem away - Reticle ranging and BDC will work at any power.
Now, why would you like to use scope at lower power? For example for running target when you want to utilize lead dots, dropping zoom on scope helps because you are increasing field of view...

Thanks very much Rob, that makes perfect sense.
