WOW that's GREAT ...been checking this thread to see ,Glad She's Home .
That's why you never give up .....Now that you have Her Home , here's one more trick
You know those old "Hunting Horns", the steer horn hollowed out old timers used to call thier Hounds in with?
Get one & blow it every time just before you feed Her, take her out, blow it & when She comes , give her a treat
That works like a magnet ,they can hear those horns for MILES & come a runnin'
We did it with Beagles, Blueticks & Walkers

Thank you all. We are happy she is home and safe. Lost about 8-9 lbs., so it's fair to say she was outside the whole time, and no one took her in. Dehydrated and some pain in her paw and back, but vet said she will be ok. My wife took her for a grooming yesterday, she certainly need it.

It's not fun to have a lost dog, you go to work, you go out looking when you get home, and repeat it every day.

That's exactly what it was. Leave work, pick up my daughter from daycare and drive the area to se if we could find anything. Put her to bed and go out and walk for a bit. Was not fun. Had resolved myself to her being gone, the day she was found.

I had the same happen over a thanksgiving break, I looked everyday until the last day and then found out that he had been at a local vets office that my neighbors frequented. Apparently found him running down a greenway and he just decided to take up walking with these people, and they took him to the vet and he was chipped so the first day they opened they called me.

I got a good workout in for a few days. I think I also chain smoked 2 packs a day during that period.

I'm really happy for you and your family that she's home, safe, unharmed (if a little filthy) and healthy.

When my beagles were stolen I thought I would never get them back. A newspaper ad and a week later a guy called me and said he had bought 2 beagles from another guy and he suspected they could be mine. They were. Myself and 3 irate rednecks paid someone a visit. Turns out there was a middleman, and he wouldn't tell us who had originally stolen them.
I'm glad yours is back, as I can relate to your sense of loss and also happiness at the return.

Beagles are a high-energy breed of dog and need lots of exercise and interaction so they don't get ' bored ' and want to run off . I am glad u got your dog back .
