AoA has Beryl bolts and member Cerephim has US made bolts as well. Check the marketplace.

Yup, I paid $800 for a used converted Saiga last year and felt like I got a good deal compared to what I was seeing.
Is Ceraphin no longer making thin stem .223 bolts, or is he just between batches?

A 74 carrier should work just fine, then you just need to locate a bolt.

So a 74 carrier and bolt will function in a 223 Saiga? I’ve been on the lookout for a bolt for mine with no luck.

Contact Cerephin directly . Hes a good guy .
He can tell you what he has or does not or when he might have it again .

Head spacing will likely be a issue on any thing you buy .

Pretty much, but why bother with it now that real Beryl bolts and Saiga / Vepr bolts are offered by Cerephim in .223 ?

I agree,.223 bolts are not cheap, but not many out there forsale.

Headspacing will be a issue if the bolt even actually fits

Thanks for all the good words, guys.
The .223 bolt will be redesigned and manufactured in a year or so. I was irritated with the quality control of my last batch, and the firing pin retainer pin was just a couple of thousandths out of spec. I could make them work, but it took some massaging on my part after the manufacturing process. So I'm going to have my Saiga and Vepr .223 bolts laser scanned and reverse engineered (again) with focus on the relationship between the extractor pivot pin and the firing pin retaining pin.
The Beryl bolts that AoA sells are the bomb, but they just don't have spring loaded firing pins. If they did, I wouldn't bother with making any more .223 bolts.

On a separate note, I should be getting my thin stem 7.62x39 bolt prototype back from the 3d printer in a couple weeks. Looking forward to how those turn out.
