I picked up 10 and only 2 are actually polish.

In 3 the follower got stuck. One had a big dent in the side. I opened every mag and cleaned the internals. Used a big screwdriver, bar stock and some persuasion to get things moving properly.

Paint peeling on the feed lips on a couple. I was looking for some beater mags. First time I get a batch so wasn't sure what to expect. I'm happy with them but expect I will have to prep and repaint the peelers soon.

8 bodies are missing the 90 degree on the inward facing rib so I'm leaning toward Hungarian. I could be wrong. Mag id is not one of my skill sets. I did search and have not found any reference to Polish manufacturing using other rib styles.

All the mags have Polish open followers and floorplates.

The ten I got were beautiful and functioned great. I am in the process of modifying nine of the ten to get them to lock into my slr107. Most of them locked in my opap with a little repetition.

The section of the top of the mag just in front of the feed lips has a thick globe of paint on some of them. I sounded it down just in that spot and they are good to go now.

Ordered 24. Maybe it is because of the humidity but the paint was peeling off easily so it isn't very durable.

Out of my 4 AK's if I ranked them on which ones worked the most with these mags it would be:

Arsenal SGL
Vector milled
Chinese pre-ban
Romanian on Nodak Spud

The last AK wouldn't take any of them so I filed down the mag latch to where they will fit now. Used a file on the ones that had issues in all of them focusing on the area above the rear locking lug and the lug themselves. One mag was terribly out of spec I filed all over it including narrowing one side of the rear lug since it was getting caught on the sidewall of the mag catch where you guide it in but it doesn't seem like it will 100% work. Will probably have to sell it for dirt cheap.

Going to try and see if these work in the next few days. I hope they feed and function reliably otherwise I am going to be pissed especially now that I cant send them back if there are issues. Reading here that they are from Pioneer Arms, the I.O. Inc. of Poland, is leaving me a bad taste in my mouth so I hope all goes well.

Thanks to some friends in out of state places and mag blocks, I was able to get my hands on 10 of these. Very lucky to get my hands on these cheap Comblock steel go to war magazines. All were as great as one could expect for a refinished magazine. Have yet to check fitment as I get my Veprs out of Jail Wednesday night, but for the price, Ill happily sand and prep these for use.

No dents, good paint. No rust that I could see while inspecting them. Installed Arsenal USA followers and Century USA floor plates from ak builder for 922r compliance. With the mag blocks and stock springs, no binding in the follower when depressing.

Just hope the prices stay low and stock remains available till I can get more cash and mag blocks.

That's a good deal. I'd stopped looking at AIM for a while when their ammo shipping prices went sky high, but recently came back when they started offering the free shipping on small parts. Looks like their shipping rates have come down to reasonable levels.

Yeah, I got a handful of these and the paint makes them not fit the mag well. I haven't had trouble with any other surplus mags. If you're not wanting to have to do some sanding/filing, then I'd look elsewhere. If you don't mind doing a little sanding/filing then go for it.
I got mine to lock up nicely by dremeling the crappy paint off the top of the mag (the part that goes into the magwell) but leave the body alone. Once I dremeled the top down to bare steel, I used some Birchwood Casey's cold blue then rubbed a little lithium grease on it for protection.

Seems my mags work after I filed down on the paint in certain areas around the rear lug. Looks like I will only be using them with my Arsenal and Vector-assembled AK since they have the widest, loosest tolerances to handle these mags.

Not 100% happy but I will keep them and won't be buying any more. I will stick with genuine surplus from now on.

Its an AK. If you are afraid of a little work, stick with an AR.

Thanks!

I used paint stripper gel type, q-tip application of the locking areas and 20 minutes of letting it soak in. Wiped away and had nice original blue finish beneath, and fit very nice.
