Default Galil 1913 Short Rail from Botach

Will this rail gas tube from Botach fit a Micro Galil? No info on its site regarding fitment. So I called and they said it "may" fit the Micro Galil

I'd like to say yes since I don't know what other variant it could be for since the other option they have is SAR length according to the reviews.

I wonder if these are the same railed gas tubes that Blackthorne/Hesse/Vulcan used to sell? It lists IWI has the manufacture but I've never heard of any IWI made railed gas tubes.

If you can weld I could make a couple of these next time Im off. You will have to supply you own tube though. If you do a cut down dont forget the inside lip will need recessed some for the Gas Block.

The Botach ones dont really appeal to me but to each their own man.

Did you machine the rails yourself?

Thanks, I may take you up on the offer if the Botach tube rail doesn't fit as expected....nice job on the rail! I ordered it last week so I should have it Monday or Tuesday.

I really like that idea. Have you tried different optics on it? Curious what kind of weight it could take and not move....

I havent yet..For the top cover one I did. I can tell you they arent bad. As long as the cover is goi g on fairly tight. South African R5 and R6 has run cover optics and Ive heard no problem.

Issue will be with bolt carrier. The upturn handle is a beeeatch to operate....use a regular AKM carrier or galil side charging carrier.

mullicrk nice work! I'm sure your setup is still lighter than the Botach rail I bought. MAR gas tube is 3.0oz and Botach rail gas tube is 5.5oz. When you add the optic on the Botach tube there was a noticeable difference up front.

For those looking to purchase the Botach rail, it's not 'plug and play'. I had to hone the inside on both ends, trim the bottom lip and drill the gas ports. Also worth mentioning, the pic rail depth is too shallow, for this reason, you will need to grind each section if you want your optic to sit completely flush. I opted to keep the rail depth as is...140 rounds later she is still nice and tight
