I am changing the advice that I have above where I think I said wait. Thanks to that fucking ASSHOLE in Vegas we now ALL get to "wait" as those wobbly kneed Rinos are using this as an excuse to slow walk bringing the SHARE Act to a full vote in the house.

So I now say, go forth and spend, my brother in silence. Spend!

It is looking like the repukes can't find the courage to read the 2nd ammendment so if you want one, buy one. I've been eyeing another can myself. I built a couple on form 1s using sdta tubes and badger ridge formed freeze plugs(they offer stainless). It is a poor mans route for sure, but I have two cans where otherwise I might have none.

The law has been in effect since what, 1933? Don't hold your breath on the law being changed and submit your paper work. If the SHARE act passes, great...but think of the alternative. They could just increase the $200 tax stamp to adjust for inflation...which would make it a $3600 tax stamp.

Waiting for them to be removed from the NFA would be a bad bet on the future..

I bought one and decided on my second. Not going the trust route anymore. SiCo Warlock 2 is my first. Second will most likely be their Hybrid because of what all it can suppress. I'm hoping when I decide on a third, the HPA or whatever they decide to call it will be back up for vote. Trying to be optimistic but I'm not waiting anymore. Hopefully they'll keep the refund the tax stamp money in the bill. Most likely not though. We all know how the gov loves our tax money.

Looks like a lot of people made that bet. I just scored a solid deal on a sico barrel from a guy that was selling about 5 of them new in box because he "decided to go another route". I see that theme fairly often on the local classifieds.

Yeah I'm ready to send in another form 1. I have an f1 rifle sized can I use on everything and I really want a something between that and my 22 can for pistol stuff. Maybe a nice 6"x1.5".

Dont wait just do it. Just ordered my 2nd can, OSS Helix 7.62. Gonna use it on an AUG and a M77. Now do I cut and re-thread barrels or just grab thread conversions?

I have a GM-22.
Super lightweight, easy to keep clean.
Shoot it wet and the FRP is a lot less.

You think if you wait for the HPA/safe act to pass and then buy one during the ensuing rush you'll get one any faster?

Go for it.

If the registry goes away, having the NFA paperwork would make it a "rare collectible" on GunBroker...

I bought two suppressors last year. They are sitting at the dealer, who is nice to keep them for me. Waiting for them to be removed from the NFA registry before taking possession.

If it doesn't happen in the next 12 months or so, I'll do the NFA dance to get them.

I sincerely doubt they will ever be delisted.

You are assuming I have a need for more suppressors at this time...which I don't.

I would consider buying a few more, but really have more interest in building some to my own specs, rather than to someone else's.

At some point, I thing the Hearing protection Act will pass, but am not going to hold my breath for it. Any move to lessen the restrictions already being imposed on us is a move in the right direction. My thoughts are...by the End of Trumps first term, we will see NR and the HP act passed, along with a couple more conservative, Constitutional judges on the bench...
